Multi-day ticket versus Park Hopper

I have a question about park tickets and wasn't sure where to post it. If I were to buy a five day non-park hopper base ticket, can I use it at more than one park per day, with each park counting as another day of the ticket being used. For example, can I buy a 5 day base ticket and go to two parks the first day, two parks the second day, and 1 park the third day? Rather than buy a 3 day park hopper pass.

Thanks.

As the previous poster said, if you don't have the hopper option, you can only go to one park per day. If you try to go to another park, your ticket will be rejected. The Disney computer knows what park you started at, and won't let you go to another park without the hopper option.

I always buy a hopper - we like the flexibility it provides, and usually end up hopping once a day. It ends up being about $6 per day more than a base ticket (we always go for at least week). But the hopper option is a flat fee, regardless of how many days you use it -- I think it costs around $45 to add the hopper option. The more days you go, the cheaper it gets per day. If you go for 7 days, it ends up being about $6 per day to hop ($45 divided by 7 days) - but if you're only going for 3 days, it ends up costing you $15 per day ($45 divided by 3 days).
