Our family is planning at least two multiple day trips over the next few years. We're trying to figure out which tickets will be best. I've read the DVC literature on ticket discounts but the names of the passes seam to have changed.

Question: Do DVC members receive a 10% discount on both Ultimate Park Hopper (length of stay) and Park Hopper Plus passes. Also how does a child's age figure into the purchase price? I assume that a 9 year old child ticket bought today for a park hopper pass is always good for the same child.

I'd appreciate any thoughts.

The age of the child at time they enter the park would be the age to use the pass. A child over 9 can't enter the park on a child's pass.

If you will be going more than a total of 8 days in a 12 month period, the annual pass is the best. We usually plan our trips just short of one year. For example, the end of Jan. this year, and the beginning of Jan. next year. We usually stay for 12 nights or more each trip, so we get about 24-26 days used on each annual pass. The length of stay pass is the only one DVC members get a discount on. You need a DC card to get a discount on other types of passes.
