Hi all,

My hubby and I will be arriving in WDW July 24. I have heard different stories about the resort mugs. May we purchase a mug and use it at all the parks and get refills for the 5 days we are staying? How much are refills? I have heard that the mug you buy is only good for the day it is bought. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Mugs at Disney are becoming ever more confusing. At first you would buy a mug at you Disney Resort Hotel and get free refills forever!! As long as the mug lasted you could have refilss of coffee, tea, soft drinks, juices, milk iced tea etc... not alcoholic drinks tho

There are also mugs available in the water parks that I believe can be refilled whenever you return to the water park

Disney is coming out with a new system tho, there will be a bar code on the mug that allows you to have free refills for the length of your stay, so you must go through the check out whenever you refill (kinda against the fast and easy point of the mugs) But they are still a great deal, at about $10 a pop (no pun indended) they will supply you with plently of drinks that would usually be about $2 a drink, so for the price of 5 drinks you can have anywhere from 5 to 500 drinks during your stay. They are a wonderful idea, get them :)

No, no, no. At first they said length of stay only and only soft drinks, coffee and tea. No milk or juice. Now some CMs are saying "Pish, Posh, you can use them forever, never mind what the sign that tells you about them says." [It says Length of Stay.]

They are length of stay at your resort only at selected restaurants/counters/food courts. Soft drinks, coffee and tea only. Sister resorts such as Port Orleans-French Quarter and Port Orleans-Riverside have interchangeable mugs. You can refill at either food court.

Some resorts sell you a refillable mug, but the refills cost a smaller amount than an entirely new drink in a non-reusable cup.

If you purchase a water park mug/sport bottle (about $9), you can get a refill sticker on your next trip to the water park for about $5 and refill the mug/sports bottle for the rest of the day at the water park. You can use a Blizzard Beach mug/sports bottle at Typhoon Lagoon and vice versa.

Your mugs will be good for free refills of soda, coffee and tea at the resort food court or counter service restaurant (and at CSR at the pool) at which you bought them for the length of your stay .

Gee, I wondered about that! Good to know before we go down. I still like the idea of getting the mugs, though!

The mugs are good for "free" refills for your length of stay. They are good only at the resort you are staying or at the sister resort. They are not good at the parks or other resorts.
