Mugs microwive and dishwasher safe?

I don't know where to post this, since there is no "park merchandise" forum. I was wondering for those people who have bought coffee mugs in the parks as souvenirs recently, have you found them to be dishwasher and microwave safe? The mugs we bought say "made in Taiwan" but nothing else. The similar mug we bought 5 years ago was made in china and says "microwave and dishwasher safe" on it.

Anyone have mugs crack in the microwave or any other adverse reactions?

I've bought mugs, glasses, and bowls. I've put the mugs and bowls in the microwave without any problems. I tried one glass in the dishwasher and it peeled. So I don't put the others in the dishwasher. I don't want to chance it.

We put ours in the dishwasher on the top rack & they've been fine

I've bought a few mugs recently. Haven't tried any of them in the microwave, but I put them in the dishwasher all the time. No peeling or fading from any of them. A few I've had for years and they still look great!

I don't trust the dishwasher either, it causes rub off for me on some of our mugs. Microwave, no problem though!

I've had terrible luck with Disney mugs in the dishwasher and I always put them in the top rack. My WL, Poly and Castaway Cay mug all peeled. I hand wash all of my Disney mugs now.

I hand wash the mugs.
I don't want to take a chance on the colors being scoured off.

I've put my mugs (ceramic ones) in the microwave without any problems. However, like others, I handwash them because I've had some problems with the images rubbing off/looking scratched if they're handled to roughly.

We have several mugs and put them in the dishwasher. Some faded pretty quickly, others are fine. The ones that are fine are the ones that the image is underneath a thick layer of glaze. Those with images on the top surface have faded.
