mug question?

I just want to make sure i have this correct.
Refillable mugs are included in the qs dining plan and the deluxe dining plan but not in the regular one??? Why?

By the way it looks like it will be in 2012 but I didn't see it on the 2011 regular dining plan.

You have it correct.

There's some speculation as to why the mugs haven't been included on the DDP until 2012 (they haven't been previously either, so 2011 isn't the weird case).

I personally think it was due to being able to sell them to DDP users (and it was my same thought as to why DDP got 1 snack while Dx and QS got 2) as it was the far more popular choice. Others speculate that it was due to the fact that both Dx and QS came out after DDP and used the mugs to entice people to their different options. While others yet speculate that it was only added to DDP to justify the larger price jump than other plans in 2012.

Fact is, we don't know why DDP was excluded until now.

I was asking why too. Last year we had free QSDP and upgraded it to DDP and lost the mugs. I felt like I got penalized for upgrading. I just kept a cooler with sodas in the room and let them keep their mugs this year. That $80 I didn't spend on mugs bought me a lot of Dr. Pepper and some souvenirs.

1) Simple.
2) They needed something to make the plans LOOK worthwhile.
3) Otherwise, the plans cost more than they yielded.
