DH went to a work convention in 03 and stayed at the All Star Music Resort. He brought me back one of their mugs. At the time, I hadn't been to WDW since 1993 and I don't even know if they did Mugs back then. We are going in Feb, and I have been reading the board. I didn't know anything about these Mugs. If I have this old one (never used) and it has the hotel logo on it, can it be used to refill anything? This trip, we'll be staying at the Shades of Green. I am asking because I HAD NO IDEA of these mugs being used for anything other than a souvenier....if I buy a new one this trip, where do I buy it and where is it refillable - can it be brought into the parks? What are the pros of having these mugs?
TIA

The refillable mugs now have the year printed on them. They are suppose to be used only for the trip. You can only refill your mug at your resort -- none of the parks have refillable mugs. I doubt that Shades of Green uses the refill mugs because it is not owned by Disney.

I'm moving this over to the resorts board for the best possible answers.. but to be perfectly honest.. I don't think Shades of Green has a refillable mug program -- but I'm not sure.

I don't think Shades of Green participates in the program and if they do it is not the Disney program so the signage photographed would not be appropriate to that resort.

The mugs mentioned are purchased in the Disney resort hotels and with a couple of exceptions are all the YOAMD design (last year the mug had 2007 on it; this year there is no date on it.)

Have a great trip.

Even if SOG doesn't participate, I really do appreciate the photo. You guys take pics of everything! which is awesome. I know our resort has refrigerators in the rooms, so we'll take a 12 pack and make do. I thought the mug was something you could fill in the parks, for free, which would be terrific - but that isn't how it works. Thanks tho'.

-- none of the parks have refillable mugs.

Actually Animal Kingdom has refillable mugs at certain places.

Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Minute Maid Light Lemonade, Orange Soda $2.09

Served in a Animal Topper Sports Bottle $6.79
Animal Topper Sports Bottle Refill $.93

Hope this helps the OP. Have fun.

Water parks also offer refillable mugs that you can bring back on another stay and purchase a new sticker for the mug to get refills for your next time there.
