Muddy Buddy Training!

Good Morning MudMates. I'm still in Erie, PA, and I'm trying to stay "unplugged", but I had to check in. :surfweb:

Don - I hope your back is OK. Get some rest, and keep us posted.

Aaron - great job on your run the other day. Don't push it too hard, too fast. There's nothing wrong with walking, but great job.

Paul - Sounds like you and Don are teaming up to be a "Beast". To be honest, I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of you and I running "against" each other, competing, and seeing what we can do. Then we can wait at the mud pit to all finish together.

I'll check in more tomorrow with details about when we will meet up, etc. in Florida, but we have time to think about that.

Oh, one final thing, I was hoping our donations would go into the general pool for the DIS Unplugged $20k challenge. Are you all down with that? I've noticed some people asking about that.

How's the back this morning Puck? :)

Little better, usually the mornings are the worst. Threw on an IcyHot patch and took some motrin. Having to sit at a desk most of the day doesn't help, but I'm going to try to move around as much as possible.

Is not too bad, I'll be back to full speed soon (which is pretty slow)

I'm totally down with that, I think its a great idea to try to help get the donations up to 20K.

Dave/Paul,

I was going to call about switching teams today, can one of you PM
your confirmation number for your registration and I'll make a call asap.

Thanks

Hey Dave...I'm doing pretty well considering. As long as I only take a mile or mile and a half at a time I should be ok. My legs are a bit sore today; especially my quads, but it's not too bad at all.

I like the idea of the donations going towards the overall DIS donation to GKTW. The more we can do to help the better. It's such a great cause, and knowing we are all behind them makes running the race more gratifying.

Good morning guys.

Since I will be there to route you guys on and throw mud at you, I was wondering if there would be a way for me to race too.

I asked Corey, but I haven't heard back and I think the answer will be no.

Do you guys know anybody else who I could partner with?

I'm willing to be if you post on the boards that you can find someone. Paul/Dave/Aaron, anyone else show any interest in the race?

Not yet, but I'll keep my ears to the ground and check with some others who might have some interest.

Glad you'll be there Chris. Awesome! :cool1:

Good news on the team switching. They sent me a link to switch teams.

I'll add Paul and Dave can add Aaron.

Good to hear from you Dave. Running against each other is a good idea. Remember, it's not nice to make the fat old guy look bad!! :lmao: Intrigued? how come? Explain please. :goodvibes

Hey Chris, post on the cruise thread that you're looking for a partner. It may get a reaction. :thumbsup2

Stay hydrated and stretch out Aaron! Be sure to take it slow. I'm all for adding to the total for GKTW. It's funny, Dave asked me to do the muddy buddy and I suggested to him that we raise money for GKTW. Now it's a foursome, that is tied in with the Dis and it's charity work. It's crazy how some things work out!! :thumbsup2

Paul and I are all set. We are now in the beast division...lol...that just cracks me up!

Ohh...and I got to talk to Paul...

First DIS'er I've actually spoken to on the phone, let alone met.

go workout Paul...your on my team now, there will be no slacking.

Phew! Looks like I switched partners just in time. Don is cracking the whip!

I figured I'd call with the info and say hi to my main man Puck! Nice talking to you Don. Take care of that back! :thumbsup2

From here out I can't be responsible for my post and/or typing. I'm on muscle relaxers....ohhh yeeeaaaa.....
