Super 8 Buena Park on Super 8's web site says their cost is as low as $7 per night for a Wheelchair accessible room. Is this something in where, if you book it, will you soon get a call or e-mail from them telling you it was the wrong posted price? Or... would one get away with the best deal on earth?

(Also, if it is true: do you need to be in a wheelchair to get one of those rooms)?

Call the property and ask, If you are qouted the $7.00 a day fee, then make sure that all details are stated, in addition, ask to get that information in writing, seriously.
Sometimes, properties, do offer great promotions. Last year, for example, I only had to pay @$44.00 (before hotel tax) for each nights stay. That was fantastic, and no it was not on site.

I forgot to ask you, what search criteria did you utilize on Super 8's website?

I searched through their main page. By Attraction - Disneyland. I could pick almost any date it seemed. I searched and found the $7 price.

Keep note that this was for 2 people, not 3 or 4. Its a one king bed.

Looks like its a new motel... it used to be Quality Inn & Suites then Colony Inn & Suites near Knotts.

o.k. so far I have found at least this much, for this location:

(utilizing wheelchair accessability function)

Super 8 Buena Park

7800 Crescent Avenue

Buena Park, CA 90620

$48.00 per room per night.

That is excellent, it is not however the alleged $7.00 per night charge,
do you have that link?

Wow! I went to the website, and you are absolutely right. I don't see how they could require you to have a wheelchair to use the room. I just wonder what you would get for the money. The cheapest rooms we have gotten were that way for a reason. One was built under the stairs, so the ceiling sloped down and you had to crawl across the bed to get to the bathroom. We were so poor then, it was worth it, but I would never travel that way again. Let us know how it turns out, if you book the room.

I did find the info on the properties site, but what is very odd to me anyway, is that your link I can find that info, but with my searching the 48.00 charge is the lowest that I can find. I checked the address(url) and they are the same, best as I can tell, but yet yield different info. to me that is very confusing, I guess you plugged in the right info for the right time. I would still call though and ask about it. there might be only one room. and maybe it stinks like cat pee.

O.K. using May instead of april - May I can obtain the same info. if that is not a mistake then that is fantastic. I too will figure different dates for trips trying to see the best offers, this is the first time that I have seen a price like this. good hunting!

I guess for me, personally, I would feel guilty booking a wheelchair accessible room if I didn't really need one, KWIM? What if someone truly disabled needed it, and there were no more available?:confused3

A few years back I was taking my mom and sister along with my kiddies to WDW and I had been shopping for air fare rates. I was quoted $15 Round Trip tax included on US air. I didn't take a chance I booked it asap. They honored the price and it was awesome it was $75 for 5 of us RT to Orlando.

Congrats on the deal.

Me neither. When Super 8 opened in the 70s, it was called that because the price was $8.88. This is less than that! I found this price through AOL's travel site. Completely shocked!

Just know that if it is a typo, they don't have to honor it (I was able to see the price from the main super8 page). Some hotels will honor it, but their terms/conditions wording will usually state that a typo doesn't have to be honored.

That said, super8 is not even worth 8 bucks to me. I haven't stayed at that one, and I *used to be* a fan of them, but not anymore. Sneaky charges, disgusting rooms, no care about the conditions of the hotels...that's what I have experienced more recently from them as a company... So accessible room when you don't need the access aside, I personally wouldn't take any room.

Also, I don't know how far away that city is from DLR, but if you're planning on DLR (the Buena Park hotel is listed as the Knott's hotel) remember to include gas, drive-time, and parking costs in your costs.

I wouldn't worry to much about using a handicap room because i'm sure they have more, and if they really needed it i'm sure you and the hotel could work around it..... I would book it, and if they came back saying it was a typo blh blh blh be like ok well i understand if you want to charge more, but i will be canceling my reservations, and i don't expect to be charged for your mistake! I don't think they would charge you cause it was there listing error..... I would just watch thats theres not something wrong with the room.... but who knows maybe you were just lucky and found the deal of a life time.... If its really that bad losing $70 (and thats staying 10 nights) isn't that bad... it would juut be a hassel finding somewhere else! I say go for it!!!! Also as bumble said..... You have to add in the cost of gas/shuttles blh blh blh and make sure it still works out to less which i'm sure it would!

I hate to say this, however, unless already booked, the link you provided Dino no longer has that great price, I then put in the dates I had used yesterday same thing, no $7.00 listing.

Just wondering if anyone booked this and if they contacted the hotel to see if it would be honored. I work retail and we were talking about it today at work. If something is marked incorrectly in a store, people expect to get the item for that price. Wonderng if it is the same with something listed online.

I would like to know the same thing. I am sure about my results from the other day.Too bad to, for can you imagine being able to book a decent room for only $7.00 per night? WOW! :)

I once found a 4* hotel with a $17 a night rate in Vancouver. I booked it for a Fri/Sat night just to see what would happen. Within an hour my phone rang from the hotel and they said they could not honor it. It should have been $179 and it was a glitch. I held my ground a bit to see what would happen, and was given the $17 rate!

I went over to the Super 8 website and tried this - I got the $7 rate for some nights, but not others. I am thinking people will be getting phone calls soon!
