Much Needed Advice

Wow, planning a trip to Universal is so much fun. You got lot of tipps already. You will love Express Pass, not waiting in line is perfect and the Rojal Pacific is a beautiful resort. I love to do all the Water rides at universal, especially Dodley Ripsaw Falls and the Jurassic Park ride, but I hate walking around in wet clothes. So we always take some shorts and tank tops or a dress with us in a bag , something that is light and does not need too much space. Before the rides I change clothes, put my bag in a locker, do all water rides and then change the wet things at the nearest bathroom.Everything wet goes in a ziplog bag and that's it. We are dry again. (Don't forget to bring dry underwear too, you will get soaked :rolleyes1 )
Also love HP and the food at Simpson Food Court, also the Potter Restaurants. I would try them both. Have fun.

Is it?? I had no idea it was different both ways, that’s the first I heard that! Take it both ways, adding it to the list

Without spoiling it the setting is different in both directions. It follows the movie where as they leave from Kings Crossing to Hogwarts and vise versa.

I know! I wasn’t expecting such helpful responses. I’m very very new to posting on message boards, I’m so happy with how friendly and helpful everyone has been! :jumping1:

Well I am glad you are having a good experience. I have been on message boards for years and it is not always the case. I will tell you that the Universal forums are amazing and that has a lot to do with not only the great posters but the moderators are great. I hope you will post a trip report after!

We are a Disney loving family (and oldest just finished her 2nd DCP) and we’ve been a lot this past year. Our June trip the hubs and kids pretty much demanded we go to universal too. Ended up with premier passes :rotfl:. Universal is so relaxed in touring compared to Disney.
Oh wow, I had no idea that some in-park restaurants closed earlier! That’s really good to know. Thanks for that! I think we’ll stay in-park for lunch, and hit up City Walk for dinner in that case.

What are your top rides that you think are can’t miss?

Men in Black is older but it’s a multiple ride each visit.
Spider-Man is classic -also a must do. If line is short go through regular queue too as much of the story in queue leads into the ride. Hulk is another favorite, did enjoy Kong quite a bit too, asa well as Fallon. Mummy is another terrifically themed ride.
And then there’s the Harry Potter areas. I’d recommend starting in Diagon Alley if you are a huge HP fan-just like harry did. But go on hog warts express over to hogsmeade and ride forbidden journey first. Take your time going through the castle-lots of people rush through and totally miss the story! I let people go around me as the wish so I can spend time in each room. Then hogwarts express back to DA and eat at Leaky cauldron (both restaraunts are good though, we just prefer LC).

Mythos was good, but our service wasn’t great. Most places in Citywalk are very good though. Think our favorite so far is NBC grill (huge portions-you’ve been warned lol). And grab some donuts at Voodoo doughnuts too!

Have a great trip and I hope you come back and give your thoughts in a trip report!:thumbsup2
