Much larger crowds this holiday season??

So with the announcement of the Osborne Lights going away, I have seen many, many people booking last minute trips to see them one last time. I've noticed that fastpasses are disappearing faster than usually happens at this time of year (early November to Thanksgiving time).

I'm thinking that we will see record crowds for the holiday season because of the lights. Do ya'll agree?

Not really. There's only been one holiday season with FP+ so far, so not enough data to draw any meaningful conclusions on that. Crowds might be higher, and they might not. If they're higher, I don't think it will be because of the OL.

No. I think we'll see record crowds because of the economy, not because of the lights.

I think this is key. It's amazing how quickly technology is advancing and how comfortable people are becoming regarding using it. I think part of the reason that the popular fast passes are going so quickly is consumers are better educated and actually know how to utilize the system.

Believe it will be high crowds but not because of OL- how many people can really afford to add an unplanned trip just because of it being the last year for OL? Sure there may be increased AP traffic and local traffic on the weekends but not really enough to have such a significant impact. I believe it is what PP stated that more and more people are becoming comfortable with technology and more are aware of the need for FP+.

I'm glad we will see the OL one last time, but it's not the reason we're going. Can't wait!

We just booked a last minute trip to see the O-lights and the DVC CM I spoke with said there have been several doing the same thing. I may not be thousands of extra guest but I know it has brought in some.

We booked a small trip (11/18-11/23) that we had no intention of making due to this being the last year for the OL.
