DD15 is scheduled to have her wisdom teeth extracted next week. We had a consultation a few weeks ago with the oral surgeon, but I'm the type of person that just has to research things to death. I've spent time on the internet reading everything and anything I can find concerning wisdom teeth, and I've read several threads on the DIS about people's experiences with this type of surgery.
Well, yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to get an e-mail from the oral surgeon's office. The e-mail contained a video that could be watched on the computer. It gave us an access code to get into it and it provided information concerning our daughter. The video actually was from a company called "emmi", and it provided a lot of excellent advice about the upcoming procedure. It was about fifteen minutes in length and covered everything we needed to know about third molar extractions and what to expect before, during, and after the surgery.
I've never received anything like this from any doctor's or dentist's office before and I really thought it was a wonderful idea.
Is this something new, or is it something that's been around in other parts of the country?
