I really enjoyed reading these while planning my trip and wanted to give an update on our experience. This is our first time using the DAS with my daughter who has hypo sensory processing disorder. She goes into shut down mode without enough input and is very hard to control. Our first day there we went and got the DAS. I was very nervous about asking for it after reading things on here as I am still sensitive to her diagnosis and was nervous about explaining it and being told she didn't need it which I knew we definitely did. We went to guest services in magic kingdom and I told someone we were there to get a DAS so we didn't have to bring her into the lines. They didn't ask any questions and just pulled us aside did the pic and that was it. Very quick and easy. We used the pass a total of 8 times over a 6 day period and 2 or 3 of those times were for waits that were only 20 min waits. We found that the fast pass line was about the extent of her ability. Even that was challenging for her. She would lay on the concrete and roll around or start flopping her whole body. There is just no way we would have been able to do anything outside of fast pass with her. We also could not do rope drop because we needed to take it slow in the morning with her so aside from our 3 fast passes a day and one extra ride through DAS that is all we did. And we used fast passes for meeting characters. All in all the combination of the fast pass with the DAS made a world of difference. We had a very wonderful time and next to no meltdowns one day she did go into meltdown mode and it was quite rough. It was an hour meltdown and 3 hours of mania in the hotel and a potential seizure which we are seeking neuro consult about. All in all though it was super successful. We are very happy with the accommodation and have no complaints. Everyone was simply wonderful. I also liked how they didn't expire. That would have made it really hard to use. Some rides took us almost 2 hours after the return time to get back to. The flexibility was a life saver.
