MTV's My Super Sweet 16

Yeah, but so many of them just act so mean to the kids around them. I really can't watch that show without my blood pressure rising!

No kidding! They all have the same theme! Look at me! I'm so awesome! I'm so beautiful! I'm so rich!
Let's see who we can be mean to, let's see who we can leave out of our party and make them feel really bad!

Look how beautiful I am, and don't they look foolish cause they weren't invited to my awesome party! Yeah me!

What's even worse is the one with the VIP rooms! YIKES!!!! Nothing like being invited to the party, but not being important enough to get into the VIP room! GEEZ girls get a life. Wait till these divas get out into the real world. :sad2:

Aliens from the same planet. How sad. My twin DD's had their Sweet 16 in February and we took their six best friends to lunch at a Tex-Mex and to a college basketball game. They had a great time. One of DD's thanked me for the fantastic time she had, adding that "At least I did not have to fake my friendship to people I really am not friendly with".

For REAL!

I did like the one where the kid wanted to raise money for the charity group, that should be an example to others :thumbsup2

What do you mean? They do deserve it. They're Indigo children! :rotfl2:

:lmao: They do fit the discription don't they?

Ug. Some of those kids just make me cringe. The entitlement, the mean-girls attitudes, the delusions of self-grandeur, the ungratefulness...

It makes me sad to see girls getting really stressed out about party crashers or people not dancing correctly or wearing the "wrong" outfit. It is not worth the energy they expend getting all worked up and only makes them look like complete beyotches.

What kills me, though, is that usually the kids boasting about how beautiful/popular/awesome they are are usually rather fugly/friendless/lame. Money really can't buy everything.

The charity parties are great. That is really where the money should be going.

At least their bratty behavior has been captured forever on film! I read an article awhile back about how one girl was extremely unhappy about the way she had been "edited" and wanted to sue MTV. (She signed away any legal rights to be on the show.) Honey-- you were not edited that way-- you really are that bad!

Sometimes I get the impression that parents give in because the cameras are on them. Anybody else notice this?

I do think that the parents give in to them. But, I do love when the parents bite back. There was one dad who went off on the daughter. That was the best!

I love that show!! Those kids are soooo bratty.
