Hi all. I am interested in the 2 Table Service dinner at Msr. Paul in France. When looking at menus, we noticed on the Prix Fix menu it states - 2 Table credits + $30.50? What does that mean? I have never seen cash added to any meal on the dining plan. Thanks, Jane:confused3

So, based on that it appears Disney reimburses the non-Disney-owned restaurants $29.75 per credit on the regular dining plan, and $37.75 on the higher plans. Interestingly, unlike Chefs de France and Le Cellier, their Prix Fixe entrées aren't normal menu items.

But that's not what you asked. No, haven't ever heard of it before but I can see why they're doing it. They don't want to lose any projected revenue.

Monsieur Paul and Restaurant Marrakesh are the only restaurants that I know of that add an upcharge when ordering the prix fixe on the DDP. At Marrakesh it has been $5-7 when ordering one of the feasts. At Monsieur Paul 2 of the 3 appetizer options are $29 if ordered a la carte (per menu on allears) so it seems they are covering the cost of the app with their upcharge. Third party restaurants are reimbursed by Disney according to the rules of the dining plan so perhaps the reimbusement isn't enough to cover the appetizer on the prix fixe.

This is relatively new and allows more restaurants to participate but not homogenize their menu. I wish more places would do this rather than remove items from the menu!
From the 2014 Dining Plan Guide:
e Choosing items from a separate prix fixe menu offered at certain
locations requires payment of a surcharge in addition to redeeming
the number of Table- Service entitlements required at the location.

We have not eaten at Monsieur Paul's and we were considering it for an upcoming trip. We almost always share an entree. I was wondering how this might work on the Prix Fixe menu there, esp since one of the items listed on the AE menu is the ribeye for 2. Thanks in advance.
