Well, I couldn't resist -- booked a short trip for the first week of March 2005 when DD has 3 days off school. It's right around both our birthdays - so what better way to celebrate? We each had $101.50 in delta vouchers and had to pay out an additional $46.40 for roundtrip total of $147.90 each!!!!!!!
Had resigned myself to $530 for Dec 04 till I ran my bookingbuddy this morning.. snapped up two ticks for $305 total (Delta). I be pretty happy Just gonna have to wait a little longer I guess for June 05 fares...
So what is going on???? oil prices are incredible.. why are the airlines dropping their fares? doesn't make sence to me...
Delta's bookings may be down and there was a report a while ago that they may have to file for Chapter 11 if they don't get concessions from their pilots. That may have something to do with this.
It also may be they are trying to fill this market. MSP isn't a Delta hub, so maybe they are taking this corner of their market and trying to build it a bit more.
