MSEP viewing now?

How early are people lining up for the Main Street Electrical Parade these days? I'm hoping maybe with the new Fantasmic! it won't be as crazy. We are hoping to catch a showing of each on separate nights. Do you think we could get a place on Main Street for the first show an hour before, or are we still looking at multiple hours? Would love to hear anyone recent experience seeing the parade!

When I was leaving last night at ~10 PM after the first fantasmic and fireworks there was a TON of space on main street and yesterday was BUSY.

Saturday, people were lined up for the parade about 7:45. There was an announcement about a special viewing of Fantastic! but we didn't stay so I don't know if it affected anything.

I saw the second showing from a front row spor on Main Street a few weeks ago. DH and I walked up about ten minutes before the parade and they were just putting out the rope across from the Magic Shop across the street. It was a fantastic view!
