MSEP FP blocks next hour FP?

we have FP for the Main Street Electrical Parade, which shows we should arrive 8:30-8:50pm. The parade starts at 9pm, park closes at 10pm.

The system isn't letting us make FP selections for 9-10pm. I can see why, but since the official time of the parade FP window ends at 8:50, seems to me we should be able to make a 9pm selection.

Anyone else encountered this before, or want to speculate on what's up?

The FP system takes into account the length of the parade and won't allow a FP because the return window would be less than an hour.

Well, that's a bummer to have confirmed. On the other hand, it does explain why the parade wasn't an option on our first try, when I had a 9-10pm FP selected. I thought at the time maybe Disney had removed the parade FP option, like Wishes.
