We're planning on seeing MSEP and Wishes the last Saturday in September. We're getting to the park around 7 - 7:30ish after a 5:15 dinner at Chef Mickey's.

What is the best strategy so we have a good view of both? I'll get fp+ if needed, though i've been told to not worry about it.

Any help is appreciated, timing suggestions, spots, etc.

:thanks:

Couple of things to note, there are parties that week -- which limits the number of nights that people can see the night time entertainment at MK. So that will raise the crowd level. It's also an EMH night (and a Saturday night, which will bring in locals), all contributing to fairly high crowd levels (yes, even in a "low-crowd" time such as September).

I would plan to see MSEP from Frontierland and then make your way toward Main Street for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. Moving 11 people through the park together will be cumbersome. If people want to break up into smaller groups to stake out spots, then that's fine.

Getting into the park after 7 means you should probably go find your MSEP spot in Frontierland almost immediately.

I would suggest that you plan to be in sub-groups for this one. It *may* be hard to find a length of curb or a plot of space of your whole group, without spending an awful lot of time sitting and waiting. IF you plan to be separated, but get lucky and find an easy way to be right together, it would be a great bonus! Yo'll still experience the same shows, but not necessarily shoulder-to-shoulder. If you'll do night shows in other parks during your stay, it's easier to get a good group spot together for Illuminations in Epcot or Fantasmic in DHS.

Awesome, thanks :)

What is a good spot in frontierland?

Is there a spot we can see the MSEP and the fireworks without moving?

Frontierland isn't a good spot to watch Wishes from; it's meant to be seen from in front of the castle, and in particular, you'll want to be in front of the castle to see Celebrate the Magic, which is a show that is projected on the front of the castle about 15 minutes before Wishes.

ADR Wishes Dessert Party will guarantee you a good spot. Having dinner at 7ish would probably be too much though.

We decided to stake out a spot as soon as we get into the park...where is the best spot to see everything without having to move? Does Wishes happen right after MSEP?

The "perfect" spots are anywhere in the Hub in front of the castle, along Main Street, where you can see the castle from the front but there are many great places to watch. If you can, I know people who like to stand up in the train station and find a great view as well as being closer to park exit at the end. I have never staked out my spot early enough for that, and I like to look along Main Street and head toward tomorrowland to find a curb or grassy area with room for my crew there - wherever we first find room along that way. Robo makes excellent maps and maybe will come along to post one, or you could try searching or posting a new question specifically requesting "maps of where to watch MSEP/wishes" which might catch his attention. ;)
