I emailed Jackie at MS to inquire about the "new" confirmations for the two bedroom units at BCV. As someone mentioned, Jackie is no longer the Member Satisfaction Manager; however, the new manager, Scott Lish, did respond as follows:

Tara,

Thank you for your email.

My name is Scott Lish, I am the new Member Satisfaction Manager, replacing Jackie Lueders.

I have confirmed that your Disney's Beach Club Villas reservation is confirmed
in a 2 queen size bedroom format. I have also advised the resort of your bedding needs and not to change your home category type.

Our confirmation system does not allow us the opportunity to note exact home categories and bedding types at this time.

Please let me know if i can be of an additional assistance,

Scott Lish
Member Satisfaction Manager

I intend to take a copy of this email with me when I check in. But, I find it interesting that the confirmation system can no longer note the layout that is booked. How are BWV Boardwalk vs. other Preferred views designated on a confirmation??

What happened to Jacki?

I'm really starting to get a little disappointed in DVC's communications. With e-mail and the "monthly" newsletter, it seems like we should be told important things like this change in personnel and the plans for the OKW slide.

The reference to "home category" is the dedicated two bedroom configuration. I specifically booked (and this has been confirmed by MS and now Mr. Lish) the dedicated with 2 queens beds in the second bedroom. My email to the MS Manager expressed my concern over the fact that printed confirmations no longer acknowledge the type of room reserved and my past experience where I was given the opposite type of room upon check in.

I was aware of the situation, I just had not heard it referred to as a home category. As a matter of fact, here was my letter to MS:

I would just like to confirm something. On my last 2 confirmations when I booked a 2 Bedroom Dedicated at Beach Club Villas with 2 Queens in the 2nd Bedroom, the field on the confirmation form that says "Vacation Home Type" said "TWO BEDROOM DEDICATED/2Q". So I was able to confirm from the confirmation that I had one with 2 Queens booked. On the last 2 Confirmations I have received. The field that says "Vacation Home Type" only says "TWO BEDROOM". So I would like to confirm that on both of these reservations, we have a Two Bedroom Dedicated with 2 Queens in the 2nd Bedroom at Beach Club Villas. The reservation numbers are ######### and ########. Thank you!
Terry

And here was thier response:

Thank you for contacting Member Services.

I have verified and you are indeed booked in a Dedicated 2 Bedroom unit with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom for your entire stay. Of course whenever you want to book this type of unit, just let the vacation advisor know that you want this type of unit when you book your reservation, and they will be happy to check on the availability for you.

Have a Magical Day!
Tom

I'd like to ask them to update the point schedule on the web to show 2005, and for SSR....

Thanks, Goldi.

It is my understanding that Scott & Jackie switch positions last month. I don't find this a problem since many companies do this so more employees know other jobs, etc.

However, I do wonder about the slide, too. Last I knew was the survey several years ago where the majority of OKW members did not want a slide. That was the last survey I received in the mail.

WOW - I am glad that I read this thread. I just call MS and confirmed that my June/July ressie at BCV is in a 2BR that does NOT have two queen beds. Yikes. That could be a bit of a problem for us as I just foolishly assumed that there would be two queen beds in the "other" bedroom (just like OKW). I should have known better.

So I requested a change and found that, as of right now, there aren't any rooms left that will meet our request. We are waitlisted for a 2BR/2Q unit for June. Good thing that I read this thread. Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed for MS to come through with one more 2BR/2Q unit for our trip in 170 days.

TC, that is exactly why we haven't tried BCV yet. I want the 2 Qs in the second bedroom, and at OKW, I know they will be.

dianeschlicht.... If you ever decide you want to give BCV a try, you will be able to confirm when you try to make your reservation if you have 2 queens or not, if there isn't one available, you just don't book there.

Towncrier.... Good Luck! There are only 25 of these rooms at the resort!

Only 25!!! :earseek:

I sure hope that I get one and that it has a good view of Epcot, the Magic Kingdom, Disney MGM-Studios, and the pool. :)

I am glad I found this thread too, since I was concerned that our 2bed/2Queen request wasnt listed as such on the confirmation sheet as it had been in the past.

Now I am wondering... should I also email Scott about it, so I too have something to bring with me at check in???

Our kids are young and we have yet to use the Master Bedroom as anything more than a large Closet, we opt to all sleep in the second bedroom together.

Our dream configuration would be a One bedroom with 2 queens! ::yes:: We would save a lot of points over the next two years.
