MS not accepting call today!

So - I have a reservation I need to modify. Unfortunately, I need to do it by phone because the system won't let me borrow points on one of my contracts. I've called at least 2 dozen times and have managed to get through (i.e., no busy signal) about 3 times. Each time I get through it asks for my member number, phone number, etc - then asks if I need to speak to member services press 1. Then I get the message that all member service advisor are busy - please call again later and hangs up.
WHAT??!!??!?
Since when is that a thing?

In the meantime I realized that the phones are busy due to Boo Bash ticket sales, but why is member services hanging up? Why can't they set up a different option for folks wanting to buy Boo Bash tickets ("if you need to buy Boo Bash tickets, please press 9")?
I'm a little annoyed right now because I don't want to miss out on the room currently available for my stay, but can't get through to anyone to help fix it....

I have gotten that message and the hang up before. It was when some of us were calling to pay for the Wish cruise. Yes there was an option to do that, but the phone hung up before I got to the option.

Chat is working. I just did a chat earlier today. Can they help??
 
Member services cast members ave very busy today. Boo Bash tickets went on sale today.
i called MS at 07:59:58 CST and it was busy i finally got through at 08:04 and had to give my member # and all that stuff, only to be told to call back. (Oh heck no they didn’t hang up on me 😡)
started the redial process until i got connected again at 08:21 and was told my wait time was 35 minutes.
38 minutes later i got to talk to a great CM at MS. i got my Boo Bash and had a question on another reservation that i could find on there website.
i’ll i can say is keep trying and my the force be with you.

I don't see the chat option available. I'll keep trying - and waiting....
 

What irks me is that you know they know events for hard tickets & cruises = crazy busy phones. Why can they not plan and staff accordingly? Maybe dedicated, well staffed lines to call so regular MS lines are not backlogged?
 
I decided to try to call. 8 times I got kicked out. Now I am in a 45 minute queue.

Because they fired all their staff.
 
I need to call tomorrow to buy OTU points. Wondering what the best time to try may be...
 
I just watched the Dis Unplugged WDW News live chat on YouTube, and Pete had some “kind” words for the situation.
 
This is just another example of someone so simple to fix..dedicated line..and a call back. To leave MS for other calls.
 
This is my biggest concern...member services, paid for by dvc members...should not be used to subsidize labor for revenue generating divisions of Disney parks.

I have no problem with it being MS who does it, but that they need to have a special line for it so those are the people who must wait and not everyone.
