So I called MS today to add the DDP to our upcoming vacation. Not the first time I've done this since they now make you pay upfront and not the first time I've added DDP to a vacation where we had switched resorts at 7 months. So I was very surprised that the CM said the computer wouldn't let her add the DDP. She said something about it being a "modified" reservation. Then she said the words DVC members dread the most: "We have to cancel and re-book IF IT'S AVAILABLE"!!! My stomach dropped as she put me on hold so the "back office" could take care of it. After about 5 minutes of being on hold (and listening to some horrible elevator Christmas music. Where are the Disney tunes?) she came back to say it was all set.
Since when does the reservation need to be cancelled and rebooked like that to add the DDP? Back in August of this year, I added the DDP to our vacation that month where we were staying at the BLT. That was also a modified reservation (switched at 7 months) and it didn't need to be cancelled and rebooked. Is this a new change because I don't like it!

I need to do the same thing for a Memorial Day trip, I sure the heck hope not!!
The last thing I need is this kind of stress 23 days out from check-in! But since this is probably the last time we use the DDP, I don't think I have to worry about it anymore. I am sooooo happy members will be able to get the TIW card w/o the AP.
I'd much rather order an appetizer and grab a Dole Whip or churro for dessert later anyway!

I thought it would would get all messed up, but the person who took the information/card numbers performed perfectly and without a hitch!!
