MS Canceled reservation upon upgrade?

In September the exact same thing happened to us at BWV. There was a mix-up and they put us in the preferred view instead of the standard. They kept asking us if we had two reservations, and this was after we checked in and nothing was said at the time. Long story short, I ended up with the points in holding for the entire stay. I could have kept them and used them, but I was honest and called. The CM thanked me profusely and then they straightened out the whole thing. Makes me wonder if the CM's at BWV are not sure of what they are doing right now, maybe some of them are new. It just seems strange that it keeps happening.

Can't wait to get back to my "home" of SSR in December!

But what if a rentee asks for an upgrade, will some less knowledgable CM just make the move and take the mebers points without getting some kind of authorization

Wow, this is just one more reason for me to not rent out my points. We thought about it...almost tried it...but it was more trouble that it was worth, so we didn't do it. Now, I'm glad we didn't since just too many things can go wrong.

We have 50 banked points that will expire before we can use them and I think I'll just wave good-bye to them instead of trying to rent them out.

They can't be transferred to another member's account due to being banked points.
