Ms busy all morning

I have called MS dozens of times this morning. Busy everytime. Anyone know whats up? Is the Christmas 2011 rush starting already???

I finally got through to add the dining plan to my trip next week and the cast member could not add the dining plan because my reservation used transferred points and the new system would not let her modify the reservation. She told me to call back tomorrow??????.?. And this was a supervisor?.?.?.?.

I got through on the first time. On hold about 5 minutes.

I had that problem yesterday. Called multiple times and kept getting a busy signal. When I finally did get through I was on hold forever.

Just got off the phone with MS. The Cast-member helping me stated that they are already getting swamped with Christmas 2011 reservations and that they were notified to expect working overtime for the next 3 months.

Not sure why 3 months, but is an exact quote from the cast-member who help me.

This has always been a busy DVC MS time. Not only are people booking December but when families gather over the holidays they tend to also plan their DVC vacations for times throughout the year and call MS to book them in January.

Yes, it's that 11 month booking window for early December. I called at 9:30 this morning and waited about 10 minutes for a castmember. The good thing is that as usual, I had a great experience, and I was able to book my week at OKW for the first week of December plus make a dining reservation for our up coming trip in March. I even asked some questions about availability at Aulani. We plan to book Aulani for February 2013, and I wanted her to tell me if she saw available units at 7 months out. She said there was plenty of availability even for THIS year in February, so it looks like it might be possible at 7 months!

Online booking may be the 3 month deal the CM mentioned. To me the "gradual" rollout sounds more like CM's having to manually check every online reservation for accuracy than a concern about system capacity...

Maybe 3 months because of the new allocation? Would that make the phone lines busier? Just a guess....

We booked our November trip at the 11th month mark. I called back a week later to inquire about a 2 bedroom standard at the BW instead of the two standard studio's I have. There were none left with a standard view! It's the last weekend of the F&W, so I get that it goes fast, I can only imagine January is insane for MS with December bookings....

Now I'm wondering if I should try to grab an early December weekend!

I was lucky this morning. On hold for less than a minute. Now waitlisted for a 2 bedroom standard view at BWV rather than the boardwalk view that was available when I called.

I called and paid my dues with gift cards over the phone this morning. I called at 9:03 and had a 10 minute wait with Member Accounting. I just figured everyone was trying to pay dues.
