DV looks fab with full kitchen, washer and dryer and amazing pool for kids but it is too much money for us. We are looking for someplace with a great pool area for my ds who is 5 but is affordable. It does not have to waterfront either.

Check out Sands Resort in Myrtle Beach. We stayed there last year mid to late May at the Ocean Forest Villas. It was two bedrooms with a full kitchen, balcony and ocean view (a street separated us). If I remember correctly we paid around $800 for a Saturday to a Saturday. It was an older place, but clean and well kept. It was cool though because along with our room we got a free pass for everyone to a water park off site (AWESOME), and tickets to their "cool pool" at anther affiliated resort. There are quite a few resorts that are all linked together. Some nicer than others :). HTH. You can check them out at sandsresorts.com

What are the dates you're planning on?
I get emails with info about staying in MB if you'd like me to forward them in a PM.

We are planning on going either the 24th of April to the 27th (THursday night leaving Sunday) or May 1 to May 4th. I would like to pay no more than $130 per night including fees and taxes if possible. I would appreciate it if you pm with the info, thank you

Just got back from Dunes Village. Know that weather can still be cool at times then. The weather was fabulous but we did not swim outside only in the inside waterparks. Was worth the extra money for my son to have fun.

Try looking at the Sea Watch. They have lots of indoor pools and hot tubs as well as heated outdoor pools and outdoor hot tubs. We will be staying there in April...it was less pricey than Dunes and looks really nice/good reviews.

I just went to their website (dunes village) and put in your April dates. They had some rooms for $109 and $119 a night..
