Thanks to free dining my hubby and I are making our first trip together (even though we've both been numerous times) :goodvibes We are now going January 9th through the 14th.

I'm the queen of planning, so my DH has left it up to me to call the shots, but now I'm starting to doubt my choices and need some help making decisions.

Here's what I am thinking we need 5 TS restaurants:

O'hana
Le Cellier (late lunch, should we consider doing it at dinner and using 2 TS??)
Cape May or Chef Mickey's BK (I've done both before and don't know which one to do)
Tutto Italia
Tony's Town Square

We will also be celebrating our 1 yr anniversary while we are there. So what do ya'll think?

Congratulations on your anniversary. Be sure you wear your buttons!

Re your 2 breakfast choices: I'd just go with whichever one is closest to either your resort or the park you'll be in that day. If you'll be at the MK then choose CM, if at Epcot or DHS then choose Cape May.

Tonys. Hmmm. Not my first choice for a TS at MK. Or my second or third. We love LTT for either lunch or dinner. CP would be our second choice (if you want another character meal).

Le Cellier I would definitely keep as a lunch. On the DDP I don't think it's worth the 2 credits. (although we do love the food there)

Congratulations on your anniversary. I prefer Cape May over Chef Mickey's for breakfast, but Chef Mickey's has the better atmosphere IMO. We'll be there from the 14th-20th, and am coming from South Louisiana also. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the advice! I think we may do Cape May since I don't have a restaurant I'm keen on trying at Hollywood Studios.

Will definitely consider LTT. I know I don't want to go to CP... Love the atmosphere there but don't like the food or the wait for the characters.

Any other suggestions??

I don't see a problem with any of your choices, other than the fact that you have 2 Italian meals planned. If Italian is your favorite kind of food, then by all means go for it, but I would probably switch one of them to accommodate something a bit different. I would probably keep Tutto Italia and change Tony's, because Tutto is a better "value" on the Dining Plan. In general, I would switch whichever one I had a suitable substitute for in the area.

Definitely stick with lunch at Le Cellier. It's not worth the 2 TS, and still a decent value for lunch.

Honestly here is what I would do: First off wear your pins everywhere you tend to get Pixie Dust.

Go to Ohana for either Breakfast or Dinner, they are both insanely amazing.

I would go to Le Celliur but do not do dinner, I do not think its worth 2TS

Do Cape May, I personally think the food is much better than CM

Never been to Tutto Italia, but always wanted to.

Tony's is pretty decent, and typically for your celebration they will give you a free fast pass. Nice added bonus!

We prefer LTT for lunch as it is a la carte, whereas dinner is family style turkey dinner. You could also leave the park for dinner at either Ohana or Kona Cafe over at the Poly.

As for your breakfast buffet, unless you need to be in that area, why not try something new like Ohana, 1900 Park Fare or Tusker House?

First of all, Tony's would not be my choice of restaurants. Its the worst meal we've ever had in disney, my son will tell you the same. it was awful. If you really really MUST go, stay away from anything with tomato sauce in it. Ppl who've ordered steak and stuff from the grill seemed to have great meals. But i would choose something else like LTT or Crystal palace or go next door to Kona or Ohana or even Whispering Canyon.

Between Chef Mickeys & Cape May, i'd pick Cape May. Chef Mickeys food quality and selection werent very good when I was there.

And finally, I personally dont think le cellier deserves the hype it gets. The steak i had was very disappointing. The famous cheese soup & bread isnt anything to write home about either. If you want to go, stick with lunch. I would never dish out 2 TS credits for dinner.

Thanks for the advice everyone! We are definitely going to stay away from Tony's now! lol :thumbsup2

So here's what I'm thinking now:

LeCellier - late lunch
'Ohana - dinner
Tusker House - BK (I've never been here but am excited to try it!)
LTT - Considering this... Seems like we have A LOT of meaty restaurants and am looking for other choices. Defintiely not doing Tony's or CP
*Still need a fifth one*

We were thinking of doing a meal in DTD after we leave animal kingdom. That way our first day we don't have any time we HAVE to eat, and we can leave AK when it closes at 5 and head to DTD. Any suggestions here? I've done Planet Hollywood and am thinking that would be something with a lot of options.

Thanks again for all the help so far! My poor DH has heard me second guess myself all night yesterday, but at least we have 3 definites now! LOL :lmao:
