My kids do love that Character Spot and we've gotten some great pictures. Of course if you visit multiple times a trip odds are good you'll end up with at least a few good ones

And here is a bit of a dining update. Because of my parent's arrival I had to give up my Ohana dinner reservation and was a bit sad about it. I've been trying every day to pick up something during our trip and today I scored a 6:40 reservation on Day 3. I was quite excited about this because all of the other reservations that had been available were for after 9:00. Now this would be great for firework watching, but I'm not sure the boys would have been happy campers eating dinner that late. Of course the Ohana reservation messed up our Garden Grill reservation for that night. But I was able to get a 4:20 Garden Grill for Day 4. This is our Magic Kingdom day, but I think it will still work out. We'll just head over right after Captain Jack's 3:20 Pirate Tutorial. We might be a few minutes late, but I think that is early enough in the dinner hour it won't be a problem. So we get to try Ohana dinner after all

Thanks. I was really excited about getting Ohana at a decent time. Gotta love those online reservations. Takes less time and you don't have to pester the CMs

I loved the Photo shoot too. We ended up with some great pictures and they are hanging all over my house. I would definitely recommend it!

Thanks! The photo shoot ended up nice. I hope we do it again sometime. And the Disney box is already pretty close to full Some of the stuff I've already posted here like the pins and the pirates costume. I'm going to try not to buy too much stuff for the trip since this is just an "accidental trip". We'll see how that goes

I really do feel lucky that everything is working out for this trip! Remember it all came together "on accident", but boy it has come together nicely!

I just love the Beach Club. Our home DVC resort is Boardwalk. For us that is definitely the best resort area on property!

I wonder that too. I'm a bit suspicious that they continuously add spots instead of releasing everything right at 180 days. To me that is the only way to explain there not being availablity for certain times right at 180 days. I know here on the DIS it seems like everyone makes their reservations right then, but realistically this is a very small percentage of Disney vacationers. I would guess most people don't even know where they are going on vacation at 6 months. So they add ADRs later on to give those poor souls a fighting chance.

Michael insisted on that picture because on a previous trip Wendy held Baby Simba in a family picture. So to make things fair we had to give him a turn

I love the Star Wars pictures! My niece is really looking forward to meeting Tink. I am so excited to go to Le Cellier!!

I recommend getting to Toon Town at 9:45 so you are there for rope drop. Then hopefully you won't have to wait too long to meet Tink. Make sure to try the soup at Le Cellier and I loved the Maple Creme Brulee.

I think your HP plan sounds great. I hope you guys love it! They say that the express pass you get by staying at an on-site resort is the only way you can get front-of-the-line for HP. They sell Express passes for the rest of the park, but they apparently won't be usable on Harry Potter stuff. You should be in good shape!
