Mrs. Claus on Christmas Eve

Mrs. Claus on Christmas Eve. If you were Mrs. Claus, what would you be doing while Santa is out delivering gifts? Also if you and Santa had kids (any age, toddlers-teenagers) would you let them stay up, have the elves watch them, give them some tasks to keep them busy, play games, watch movies, bake cookies, etc?

Since COVID can’t be at The North Pole (to cold for the virus to live), I’d have a huge party/celebration for the Elves. I’d have NORAD Santa Tracker on a huge Jumbotron while food and desserts were out & games and music were played. The party would continue until Santa returned. If Santa and I had kids the kids would be at the party too. Then after Santa returned we would have a church service, because without the birth of Christ there would be no Christmas season. After church, we’d all go to bed and take a week off work.

Although I also imagine there are some elves that are "on call" helping Santa change plans on the fly and deal with last-minute contingencies. But those elves are getting extra cookies to make up for working overtime.

Enjoying a bit of peace and quiet after having a work from home husband for the other 364 days of the year. Though I imagine Santa doesn't put his conference calls on speaker like my DH--that's a fast track to the naughty list.

I don’t doubt that Mrs. Claus fools around with one or more of the hotter elves while Santa is delivering presents to all the good little kiddies.

And I doubt Santa and the Mrs. have any kids. According to the meme on the other thread, Santa has a HUSBAND. Mrs. Claus is just a marriage for appearance sake.

( Speaking of good little kiddies, the other day I heard and saw a harried Mom threaten to call Santa to skip her house if her little terror continued to misbehave at Target.)

I think after she bundles him out the door to deliver all the gifts she gets into a bubble bath with a huge glass of wine because Santa is a pain in the *** in the days leading up to Christmas Eve.

Mrs Claus is still working on Christmas eve, while Santa is working. She's on a constant radio or cellphone call with him. Making sure he's taking his diabetic meds, as he keeps sneaking cookies at each house. She's keeping his spirit up as he has to pass several houses where the kids have been naughty and he would have wanted to drop off a present to each of them. She has to remind him that they won't learn to change if they get rewarded with presents.

There's always a last second, new Christmas present wish right before midnight, as a kids does change and grow. So, sometimes, he has to loop back around for them.

She and the elves are monitoring NORAD monitoring Santa, making sure they are on the ball and helping to keep Santa safe.

Most of all, she's checking out different travel websites for post-Christmas travel deals and trying to stay away from where COVID is the worst. Santa & Mrs Claus have to fly on regular airplanes the rest of the year as the sleigh is grounded the rest of the year, due to reindeer union regulations.

I would want total peace and quiet, after all the noise and stress leading up to Christmas. I would probably sleep for about 24 hours and then just chill with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate once I knew Santa had made it home safely. I figure he sleeps a good 24 hours or more after his long journey.

After we were both rested up, I think we would go on vacation for a few weeks, somewhere warm . . .

Follow up question. What do Santa’s kids try to get away with while their parents are busy with Christmas Eve? Would their teenage kids try to invite all their fellow students from North Pole High School for a secret crazy house party? If you were Santa/Mrs. Claus, would you let it slide or ground them for a month?
