I just watched the ride on youtube! I only rode once, back in '96, I think. Anyways, I guess I didn't remember very much about the ride cause I can see why Disney got rid of it (Although it's still alive in DL).
1. Mr. Toad steals a car.
2. Mr. Toad gets hit by a train.
3. Mr. Toad goes to hell.

I'm dead serious. There is a hell room lol.

I miss this ride.

I miss Mr. Toad, too!!

Why, oh why, did they have to get rid of him in WDW?

Thank goodness for YouTube :)

I rode this ride when I was little and it was my favorite ride in all WDW. I think I cried when it was gotten rid of. I really miss this ride and think they have enough land still that they should build a whole park for old loved rides.

not all of "disney" got rid of it. it is still at disney land and i rode it 2 summers ago.

Yes, I remember riding it alot back in the "day" haha...I remember the final week of it closing, what a sad week...I think it was 98'? I loved it so much, it was an amazing ride! I remember all the Disney fans were trying to Save the ride... haha, you can still the find the site in the same condition as it was in 98': http://www.math.miami.edu/~jam/toad/

I rode it on the last day of operation at WDW as well, too sad of a day. :confused3
The DL version does not live up to WDW's version at all, it was so much better, especially with two tracks. If you looked up and payed attention to all the details without looking at the tracks, you would seriously have no idea where you were going to go, you could end up going anywhere.

"Where are you going? Nowhere in particular..." :sad1:

We're going merrily, merrily, merrily to nowhere in PARTICULAR!!

I remember it at Disney World. My parents made me think I was actually driving and that I really sucked and caused all those things to happen. It scarred me for life ahah. I hate driving now.

I don't think I've ever rode it, but my sister has.
She loved it. :)

It still scares me to go into the train room, I keep feeling like I'm actaully getting hit by a train! 0_o
And I always love cursing at the demons in the hell room.
It's fun. ^_^

If you look next time you go on the Winnie the Pooh ride if you look in Owls house you see Mr. Toad giving Owl the deed and somewhere he's bowing to Pooh. It was a tribute to Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Unfortunatly I never got to ride it. :crazy2:

Mr. Toad is just awesome :)

I'll have to look for that Toad tribute in Winnie the Pooh. I've heard of it, but never saw it.

I just remember being in a car, crashing into doors...

LOL :-P

I ride it everytime i go to disneyland :]

I never got to ride WDW one. It was being changed to winnie the pooh the first time i went.

And a fact is the "hell" room is actualy called the inferno room! which means hell in like latin haha

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was always one of my favorites... it was definitely the most 'hard core' Fantasyland rides.... but, come on. How can Disney have a ride where the main character dies??? It still rocked, though.

My dad said he was always afraid of the train.

I never knew they even had a version of that ride in WDW.
Live and learn I guess.

Lucky ride, in the california winnie the pooh ride that replaced country bear jamboree, they've got the talking decapitated animal heads as their tribute!:scared:
