I want to get my nephew a Mr. Potato Head with the accessories at WDW. Do they still have the boxes that you can fill as much as you want for a certain price?

If so...how much are they?

Can you opt to not get the actual potato head & just fill a whole box with the accessories?

Thanks for your help!

It's $18/box and yes, you can just fill it with parts.

I saw a bunch of new pieces that someone is selling on ebay.. really neat ones.. like Ariel and Donald Duck etc....

My little girl loves the potato head from Disney!

How old is your nephew? At the Star Wars store (you exit into it when you come off Star Tours) you can buy Darth Tater---Mr. Potatohead dressed up like Darth Vader. My boys (ages 5 and 11)love it!! It was sold out last May during Star Wars weekends, but they had it restocked again last week when we were there. The cost for it is $12.

I assume the Disney parts fits the regular Potato Head found at Target? I bought one recently for only $5 at Target, so hoping to get a box full of parts!!!

I bought my Darth Tater at Target for $6.50. I plan on filling up the box with parts next time we are at Disney.

Yes they do fit the regular PHs, however don't forget to buy the arms at Disney, because the Disney arms are special arms. This is very important.

littleprissboutique: no, there aren't any special 50th parts, but there are some World of Disney NYC pieces, like the Statue of Liberty headdress and torch, NYC pizza with mickey head pepperoni, pretzels.

Buy him a basic potato head at home. The bags are 18.50 each. We very carefully filled our bag and got ALOT of stuff in there. The point is, fill the bag with stuff you can't get in stores at home, not the potato head itself which you can get anywhere. If you really do want a potato head, I guess you could stuff him with the items but, it will still take up more room. My kids LOVE theirs. We have two potato heads and a huge box of peices. We even got a Pirate accessory kit for Mr. Potato head at the Pirates of the Carabean gift shop. Not to mention the sets from birthdays and stuff, there are so many. You can see we are now officially "Potato Headed Out!".

The nephew I was shopping for initially is 2. BUT I have 2 other nephews who LOVE Star Wars...they are 4 & 7. It might be one-stop shopping for all 3!!

Thanks!!

Oh, and I am DEFINITELY buying the potato head at home for the 2 year old to be able to stuff the bag/box with accessories at WDW!

Make sure you get a pair of arms. Some of the accessories are held in Potato Heads hands and the regular arms (sold in stores) can't hold them!! We have lost one of our arms so we will be picking up extra on the next trip!

They had Darth Tater at Once Upon A Toy in Downtown Disney a few weeks ago. I think this store also has the best selection of parts plus you can make the free Potato Head postcard here. :flower:

I went in May, and they had a little Dumbo to ride in for $5 bought seperately. We have a cheap potato head, and just bought accessories. I had the thing CRAMMED! :sunny:

I read some where that if you buy Mr Potato head at WDW that you can pull him out of the box and stuff him and stuff the box. Does anyone know if this is true? I was going to buy him there so that I could get more parts but if you can't do this I might as well buy it at Wal Mart or Target and get it cheaper.

What a great gift for all my nieces and nephews. Just in time for Christmas. Thanks for the idea. :goodvibes

:earboy2: I'm going to buy the ph's @ Wal-Mart and we will fill the bag full of pieces. This will be a great toy for my kids to bring back from Disney and they will have something to play with in the hotel and the car ride home.
