Mr. Potato Head parts

Wannabe Princess,
Our two Mrs. Potato Heads are from Target and I haven't noticed a difference in how the parts fit.

We have 3 or 3 "regular" MPH that I purchased for my daughter from Toys R Us awhile ago (and one that was from MY childhood!!!). All of the Disney parts fit them just fine, but my MPH when I was a kid has attached bendy arms...so I just can't take those off.

A woman at Once Upon A Toy told me a Dumbo ride one is coming out later this year. Can't wait!!

Thanks for all the great info! My dd (4 years old) LOVES MPH! This will be a great surprise for her. I just added her MPH body to our packing list.

I can't wait to let my kids pick out the parts for thier potato's I am taking from home. It sounds like so much fun for them!!!! and me

WOW! What a great list! One of the first things we do is go to DTD and I was planning on buying another box or two. We ended up buying 3 boxes last time yet it was only $12 per box, the price has really gone up! There are also many more pieces than there were two years ago! Thanks for the list!

Awesome! We got all that we could during our last trip in 2002...glad to hear there's new parts out. Can't wait!! My kids have loved MPH for years -- and I do too!!

We got the Dumbo ride this last time and we love it! Also they had a suitcase type thing that has a PH, basic parts and some Disney parts. It's nice because it's hard plastic and has handles so you can carry the parts around. Just not big enough once you get all the parts.

Russ, that's a great idea about keeping them on your desk. It would be neat to see they ways people dress the PH.

Wheezy, how does the poncho look on the PH? We didn't get that one the last time we were there because we weren't sure how it would look. Guess we should have tried it out.

I was going to leave well enough alone on my Mr. Potatohead (we all pretend it's DS's, but really...) but now that I've seen the rain poncho. Well, I can't really go home without one of those, now, can I?

Thanks for replying! I am glad to hear that neither of you had problems with a "non-Disney" MPH and the parts fitting! I can't wait to get the Disney parts, and even happier that I can fill an entire box instead of only around the MPH itself!

i saw this but didn't realize the parts were "special" to wdw so this might be my next souvie! great idea about the prepurchased parts! so the whole list minus heads would be about $36? is that right?
also do new parts come out ( like pins) ?
