I just can't wait to get the Potato Head parts for my twins!

Is there a list any where that names all of the differant parts, so I can make sure I get them all.

Thanks!

I believe the entire box is less than $15. All the parts are in separate bins in one place, so if you pick up a part from each bin, you should have them all.

How much does it cost to make a Mr. Potato Head at Disney World?

Thanks

it was either $15 or $16 for everything that you could fit into the box. if you want to save space, dont buy the potato head there, get it on ebay or from a local toy store. if you do buy the head there, make sure you fill up the back with parts so you take advantage of all the space in the box that you can.

Thanks krissy!

They also have a Pirate boxed set and a Cowboy boxed set sold seperately. They are not Disney specific though.

Hope this helps.

:)

Ok I keep seeing that there are different parts available at different locations, so if you buy the parts at DTD for instance you can find new parts at Toontown and Pop Century. I want them all but I don't want to have to buy a couple of different boxes!

Great list! Did you buy all those parts at One Upon a Toy? Were you able to fit them all in a box without the potato?

I have a Mr. Potato head that will be our trip mascot. He's just looking for his parts!

They have those at the Pop Century and I think I remember them being $18.00 for a full (the box has to close) box. They are really cute. I also read, ( I think on this board) about buying the head separately and just buying the box full of parts.

I just bought one at MGM in May. It was $18 and box has to close and not buldge. Make sure that you get the Disney arms so that it will be able to hold the Disney acessories, like Mickey bars. And make sure you have a right and a left arm. When I got home I realized that I have two of the same arms. You can fit things all over the place. Make sure you open the suitcase and put your ticket in it and stuff Mickey bars in the shoes. If you have room for extra little parts, make sure you slide them in because they will probably be the first to get lost. It's amazing how much you can fit in one of those boxes.
Oh, go ahead and get your head before you go and make yourself familiar with all of the pieces that it comes with or you might end up getting another "normal" part. You might take a picture of all of your parts.

I had to buy at least 3 (or 4 - can't remember) boxes worth (two boxes contained potatos).

The official rules are, "The box must be able to close and not bulge," but it also depends on the cast member who checks you out on how much you can cram into your box.

For instance, when I bought my first box, I put very large pieces (a head, the buzz ride, and teacup) along with many smaller parts in it so it bulged alot and couldn't close. However, the worker who checked me out took out all of my parts from the box and kept rearranging them and stuffing them back into the box so it was barely able to close.

In another example, the cast member took out a few pieces and didn't put them back in so the box would close perfectly.

I bought my parts at different locations depending on what I was doing at the time. I had thought I had all the pieces until I went to the 'Once Upon a Toy' Store. It had all of the parts from the other stores plus more.

I had also tried to take the giant mustache off of the huge Potato Head statue at Pop Century. Unfortunately it didn't come off. ;)

If I bring a potato at home, will they let me bring it into the store? My toddler will have a fit if he's getting all these potato pieces and has no potato.

Can you buy the pieces individually at MGM or MK? Where exactly do they sell those?

I've been a couple of times getting various parts. The first time I got a potato and the second time only parts. Keep in mind that the parts may not fit quite the same with other potatoes, at least mine don't. We also got two extra potato boxes, one for my sister (she has grown children and will keep it at her house for her grandchildren) and another for a birthday present for a friend of my DS who will be taking his first trip to WDW soon.

It's very hard not to duplicate parts. If you have a digital camera you could take pictures to refer to if you already have some pieces at home. I had a detailed list so that I wouldn't repeat too many parts.

It's one of the few bargains at WDW and it's a lot of fun, also.

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only one obsessed w/getting all the parts. I had to give up the Buzz Lightyear ride car last trip because it just wouldn't fit. Thanks for the list! I hope to complete my set this trip. So far I've filled 2 boxes (no potato, just parts).

swilphil,
Why don't you bring your potato from home, but leave it in the hotel room? The store has potatoes out and lots of kids play w/them w/o making a purchase at all.

Thanks Wheezy for that comprehensive list - they seem to have tons more parts than they did when we got our boxes when Once Upon a Toy first opened!!

I also didn't realise you could get just parts without putting a potato in - that's useful to know!

I have saved your list so we can check we get everything else we need for ours next trip!!

Do many people have this problem? I was planning on buying the parts in Disney, and the Mr. Potatohead at Walmart or Target. I don't want to do that if the parts don't fit right.

The POC accessory kit is only available at POC. I have 2 Mr. PH on my bookcase at work with a very large bowl of parts that people come by and change daily.

We bought a potato head and parts and then another whole box of parts for 32!!!! (For dd!)

Now I want one for myself!!!

I have seen the Pirates set available at Once Upon a Toy also, so I'm pretty sure all parts can be purchased there.

I hope they keep making parts since it's so much fun. I think a doom buggy from Haunted Mansion would be neat.
