Mr. Potato Head Parts

I just bought a Mr. Potato head at walmart for $5. Will the pieces work with this potato head or do i have to buy the one there? Also, how are they priced? Do you pick so many pieces for so much money, or buy them separately?

hi! the parts you buy in disney will fit the potato head you bought at walmart! you can buy the special disney parts in a box, that you fill, for around $20. you can also buy the parts individually. they are $2 a piece. i did both when i was there in june. planning on buying a box this time around with just parts i didn't get last time.

i take it you can get more than 10 things in the box. How many do you think will fit?

I think its actually better to not get the head at WDW because the box is only so big.. I think my daughter is going to get another box this time of things to go with the pieces she got last time.. she also already had a Mr Potato head so she didnt have to get one while there.. Its hard to say exactly how many pieces you can fit in the box because it depends on what you get.. there are some items that are quite big so if you get several of those items it will limit the other thing you can fit..

She got 35 things.. this is what she got:
Mermaid Hair (big)
Mickey mouse feet (big)
girls feet (big).. (not sure whose these were to be though)
Donald Duck beak (fairly big)
Minnie Mouse Safari hat with ears (medium size)
Goofy Hat with ears (medium size)
Donadl Hat (medium size)
Micky Sorcerer hat with ears (medium size)
Mickey Ears hat (medium size)
2 mickey hands
Minnie Mouse Bow
Mickey balloon on a stick
Star wand
Autograph book with mickey pen attached
Pair of earrings
Pair of ears

Disneyworld/Disneyland suitcase
4 pairs of eyes

2 noses
1 left and 1 right arm (important to get because they specifically hold the items)

Not too bad for $18.. we really stuffed that box.. You may have to move things around a bit to get them to fit just right so you can get more items.. I think only 1 thing wouldnt fit that she wanted and it was pretty big, so we put it back..

I Bought 2 Older Ones Off Ebay And When They Came In 1 Of Them Have Arms Attached. Can I Jst Cut Them And The Disney Ones Fit? We Bought 2 Minis Also And Will The Disney Fit Them. This Way We Have The Family, Mom, Dad, Dd, Ds

I know this sounds a dumb question, but where is Mr Potato Heads name badge supposed to fit? It doesn't appear to fit on anything-I even bought him a lanyard cos I thought it would clip on there but it doesn't. I have to prop it up in front of him!

Some CM's will 'help' you get more bang for your buck too... when I was at the NYC store the CM's were more than eager to help you stuff your box the right way so that you could get as many pieces as possible. Have fun!

The name badge snaps onto his arm (like his forearm). Hope that helps!

Does anyone know if they bring out more parts each year or is the stuff they do pretty much constant-I'm planning on coming back Dec 07 and want to know if I can do a new box

First let me get this out of the way. I am Tandy and I am a Potato Head part addict.


Yes they seem like they are always coming out with new stuff. I have bought stuff on two different trips and my in-laws brought me a box back as a gift on one trip, just because they aare coming out with new stuff. I have to say I was excited to read the list bettyann29 posted because some of those pieces are new to me.

Also if you go to church fairs or the like you can buy Potato Heads really cheap. I got 3 and a bunch of parts for a dollar and the Disney pieces work without a problem on them.

Sounds weird but the only place I could get it to fit was on the arm. I am going to try and rig something else myself.

I bought two boxes of potato head parts last week (no heads as we already had them). We only got a couple of duplicates and they were of the really small things that easily fit in around others. We did get 4 left arms & 4 right arms. I'm addicted to him now. I have yet to check to see if they fit the small heads that we have. We have a family as well.

No these ones are red.. I have no clue why DD8 got them... but she stuck them in the box They dont really mesh with anything she got..

Make sure to get some arms at Disney. The ones that come with the regular potato heads (at Walmart, etc.) do not "hold" things, like the balloon, ice cream, etc. We LOVE getting parts and are on the hunt for Tink parts this year.

Where are the Mr Potato head pieces? The last time I was ay Once upon a toy they didn't have any? Where are you geting them? Also can you get the tinkertoys anywhere?
