Has anyone bought the Disney exclusive pieces for Mr. Potato Head? What store were they in and in what park? Also, anyone have any examples of what they were or pictures? Also, how much is it to fill a box? I remember reading in a book, but I'm pretty sure it was an older book. Trying to get some ideas of where to steer the kids for souvenirs:rotfl:. Thanks!

I got mine at Disneyland but they included: Mickey ears, a Mickey bar, a Disney Cast Member badge, a Mickey pen, an autograph book, and Buzz Lightyear shoes. In CA, I think it was around $20 to fill a box.

Don't know if they're exclusive to Disneyworld or not but I also got a Star Wars stormtrooper helmet and arms.

I think you can get them at Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney in Florida....

The smaller boxes are 19.99 to fill or you can get the huge container that is shaped like Mr Potatohead for around $45. We found Mickey ice cream bars, Mickey hands, a disney movie camera, star wars darth vader and storm trooper stuff, Tinkerbell pieces, a Disney autograph book, etc... They also had POTC stuff, incredibles, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan outfit, Capt Hook. We bought a potato head at Wal-Mart for $3 and were able to stuff a lot more accessories.

The fill your own was at Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney.

I completely agree... p/u the potato head somewhere else and go for the accessories. They also have a similar concept for My Little Pony in DTD (At least they did last year), where you could fill a box and they had quite a few disney exclusive outfits... we picked this up for our niece and she loved it.

We got it in Toon Town. I can't remember the store, but it was where the Princess meet and greet is. I believe the box was $19.99 to fill. When we go in February, we will restock the pieces my DD has lost and skip the actual potato, as it took up so much room. It is worth it to get double pieces incase some get lost. I would also pick up a Potato locally before you go, as it will be WAAAY cheaper. When I got home, I bought DD a Mr. Potato head kit at Walmart for $10!
We were able to get Mickey glasses, Mickey ice cream, a CM name tag, Minnie ears, Minnie shoes, Mickey hands, Mickey "Wizard" hat, a star wand, an autograph book and Mickey pen, Princess hat and shoes, and a little sign that read something about Mickey Magic (sorry, can't remember). There were more pieces, but they didn't interest DD at the time.
My DD had never had a Mr. Potato head before, so we were surprised how much she loved it. She still plays with it after 8 months! Totally worth the price for me!

Awesome- we already have a couple of Mr. Potato Heads, so I think I'll bring those and put them with a note from Tinkerbell one morning saying they get to go fill a box that day. We're trying to get an idea of what souvenirs to steer them towards before we leave so we come back with things they'll actually play with instead of impulse buys that will get thrown to the wayside once we get home. :dance3:

Does the "big potatoe container" hold more than two of the smaller boxes? I have two girls and was going to get them one each but it the bigger one will fit more then we are set!!

And what are the dimensions of that "big" container? Just making sure it'll fit in the luggage to come home!

At the MK the parts are at the big store in Toontown. If you do get a potato there don't forget to stuff his insides with parts before you put him in the box! I remember last time we got potato parts there I was mad when we went to DTD to the toy store (near the World of Disney store) and saw they had a better variety of parts and they had the giant box to stuff! But if you don't have plans to go to DTD there are plenty of fun potato parts in Toontown.

We got DD a Mrs. Potato Head for Christmas and I am so excited about getting Disney accessories for it! Thanks for the info.

We got a potato head for my nephew at the judges tent in toon town. There is a large selection. We were selective as how we packed it. We filled up the potato head body then filled every inch by turning and moving and turning and moving to make the most of our space. After we got up to the register the CM said you know you can fit more in here... uhhhhhhh We couldn't find anything else we wanted to get for him although there was still star wars stuff and a couple more pirate stuff, but he isn't really into that so we just stuck with the generic mickey stuff.

yes! we have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old and started with the small boxes...then i came around the3 display and found the mr potato head container. if youve been to costco lately they have teh same size one there with non disney accesories inside.

im unsure of the dimensions but he fit into our checked luggage surrounded by clothes so the plastic wouldnt break on our trip home. i'd say hes roughly one foot high and maybe 6-8 inches across. be prepared for fights tho over the big one...our kids want to play with the big one at the same time....next trip ill be filling a second one!

this was one of the best souvie's ever!! do they make new pieces anymore? i've stuffed several boxes for me and the other therapists that work at our children's hospital. we LOVE the disney pieces!! its like a challenge to see how much we can fit in!! dont forget, some pieces will fit inside the empty spaces in other pieces!!! cram in every nook and crannie!! we gather all the pieces we want for sure, then start stuffing - then DH will say I have more space and I"ll go and grab a few more of this or that!! its so much FUN!!!:thumbsup2

Good tip on bringing a potato head with you. We are planning on getting her more potato head pieces for her, but we don't need more potato heads and would like to save space.
