Can anyone tell me how much this costs, and about how many pieces can be packed in the box? Also, does this include the potato body, or does that need to be bought separately? Thanks!

Oh, Oh ... we did these a couple of weeks ago ... it was GREAT fun!

You get a special potato head box and fill it with pieces for $16.00.

There are some tricks ...

We didn't need anymore potato head bodies so I brought 2 from home for the kids to play with once we bought the pieces and got back to the resort.

If you need a potato open it up and STUFF in full of the little items (autograph books, mickey ice cream, eyes, etc.)

Get at least two sets of arms ... regular potato head arms won't hold the mickey ice creams, balloons or autograph books ... in case you lose a pair ... and make sure you get a left and right arm ... hands are different.

Stack hats, feet inside each other.

They also sell a pre-packaged suitcase for $20.00 w/25 pieces or so, but we were able to stuff more than that into a box (even with a head).

And they had pre-packaged sheriff and pirate acessory sets (no potato included) for about $6.00.

My suggestion is go to Target and buy the $4.99 basic potato head, then fill your box with WDW specific accessories and DON'T FORGET THE ARMS!!!

You can also design a Potato Head on a computer, then print it out ... my granddaughter must have made a dozen of them.

We also found the make-your-own Potato Heads in a shop in Dinoland (Animal Kingdom).

My 28 y.o. daughter and I enjoyed stuffing the boxes as much (okay more) than the kids did!

Wow, Memaw2Wm— thanks for the great tips! I'm going to have to print them out and bring them with us!

Also......if you are buying the potato head, don't put it in the box bottom first. Turn it on it's side so the top and bottom are horizontal in the box. You can then fit in many more hats and feet on top of the potato, and thus get much more into the box.
Have fun!

I agree this is a great value. Another suggestion is to fill the body before you put it into the box, it fits a great deal. I could not believe how much we got in the box. The cast member even helped us close it.

I too did not choose to include the body in my box. I was able to get most of the other essential parts into my box by not including the body which I figured I would purchase just as a traditional starter box from Walmart.

There are several pieces (hats) which nest together and take up much less space. It didn't take too much effort to organize the box so that the pieces fit. I can't wait for our little one to get this from Santa at Christmas time!

Thanks, guys! I'm looking forward to seeing how much stuff we can cram in there!

Which stores do this? I work in a pre-school and would love to bring back a box of goodies. Thanks.

I found them at Once Upon a Time in Downtown Disney and the shop in Dinoland, Animal Kingdom (no computer thingies there though).
