Mr. Manatee's!!!!! at vero beach

Got back from our week at Vero beach/old key west. Just have to tell everyone about Mr. Manatees.....you can get directions at the front desk at Vero beach resort.

My brother in law told us to try it and we just LOVED it! great food, great prices, very casual. We went to capt Hirams the next night, which was bigger, and a more fun atmosphere for sure, but we got less food for more money, and wasn't nearly as yummmmmy!!

If you go to mr.manatee's, be sure to get any of the desserts, we left capt hirams, and went back to MM for our desserts to go. we ate them on our balcony while watching a great storm.


We loved Vero beach resort, and will definately go back next oct for a few days before the MNSSHP and food and wine festival.

It is good for jusst relaxing and doing nothing. DH was so happy!!

also, the Mango Margarittas at the Boardwalk pool bar. Best I ever had!!

Great to hear you enjoyed your stay and Mr Manatee's It substained major Hurricane damage in '04 and at the time there was talk it might not reopen. It was closed for just under 3 months. Wow that seems like so long ago.

We tried Ozzie's Crab Shack this past trip.... very authentic "seafood shack." It's on US-1 in Grant (north of Sebastian, south of Melbourne - right next to that great antique mall!)
