Mr. Clean Magic Eraser - is there anything comparable but cheaper?

OP here - Thanks for all the replies. I have only tried the Mr. Clean ones and I find that they sort of dissolve as I am using them. They don't hold their shape like a sponge, but get kind of flat and break apart. Maybe I am expecting too much of them. I like to use them on the stove top and back splash around the stove.
Did you see the commercial for the Mr. Clean brand for a sponge holder to allow you to get more leverage? I wonder if you can turn the sponge over and use the other side or if it will fall apart once the first side is used?
Next time I go to Walmart, I'm going to check out the store brand and see how they hold up.

I didn't see the Stop and Shop brand mentioned. They work just as well as Mr. Clean and don't fall apart as much.

I just used both kinds on my kitchen floor, and I can honestly say I prefer the Stop and Shop brand.

According to what I read, it is the nature of the material that they fall apart. That is what leaves the residue behind.

OP if you just want them for the stove top, may I suggest Bar Keeper's Friend? Much cheaper. (obviously I don't know what the surround is made of.)
