Mr. Christmas Micky's clock shop sound won't work

Does anyone know how to fix the Mr Christmas Micky's clock shop? My mother gave it to me last year and everything works except when they are supposed to sing there's no sound & the volumes all the way up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Never heard or saw one before but found this at you tube:

Based on the video I'd hazard a guess that the voices come from an audio micro chip and operate independently of the mechanism that causes the plastic or resin figurines to move. Don't know if you can hear the clock ticking or if there are any ways to open the figurines but there is always a possibility the audio isn't even in the figurines. Could be it's located within one of the supporting structures like a house. Anyway you might consider buying a mechanism like this:

to re-record the songs and attach it unobtrusively. The trick would be to get the audio to work in sync with the movement and I can't think of a way to do that at all.
