I have been buried at work, and am even now at work waiting on Microsoft to finish fixing a problem.

Over Labor day we went to see My Dear Deaf Niece get Bat Mitzvah'ed. It was very emotional.....

Oh well, I am still alive, and miss you all!!!!!

Hi all! Sorry to be AWOL recently but had a VERY busy weekend. In addition to soccer games, birthday parties and Katrina fundraisers, we had to go down to the beach to help move my brother's sailboat from the dock to the creek in case Hurricane Ophelia finally decides to come ashore. Seems she's taking her own sweet time dancing around out there in the Atlantic

Cheeringmom So glad to hear from you, little lady! Thanks for congrats to Jordan..hopefully it wasn't just beginners luck and he'll be as good as your sweet Tommy some day. Oh, and I'll be in WDW for a short weekend Nov 10-12(thur-sat Ding fare) and am sooooooo excited about FINALLY getting to meet my favorite ChocolateSista for dinner and hopefully other DISer's who can make it as well...wink, wink, hint, hint!

NC Belle Hey girlfriend, Hurricane Ophelia is a'threatening....better stock up now with PB&J and Raman noodles before the crazies hit the grocery stores...remember, you and da Beast gotta save up so you can ride those WDW late night buses with us in Nov! And darn it, I missed that dang $29 Ding fare...but still happy with my $34 fare

NC Belle Hey girlfriend, Hurricane Ophelia is a'threatening....better stock up now with PB&J and Raman noodles before the crazies hit the grocery stores...remember, you and da Beast gotta save up so you can ride those WDW late night buses with us in Nov! And darn it, I missed that dang $29 Ding fare...but still happy with my $34 fare

I can't make it in Nov.---Jessie and NC Beast are expensive. We had to upgrade Jessie's medical plan to get some dental coverage. We are going to have the vet or the kennel trim her nails. We need to get her on a diet (she is almost 68 lbs.). We need to buy a decent food scale for ourselves since NC Beast gain several pounds (he lost inches) and start counting calories. He may have gain muscle which may account for the higher weight. We are going to share a lot of meals and eat salads at WDW.

It was pretty good---lean. It was a Ruby Tuesday's exotic burger so it was not gamey. I had well done, but the next time I might ask for medium to medium/well. I don't like raw or rare meats/fish. Ostrich burgers are good---NC Beast had one at Fuddruckers months ago. He wants to try some gator and kangeroo.

Cadburysmom---I almost forgot to mention...did you see that there is a Steak and Shake being built on Millbrook (the Target/PetSmart parking lot area)? I used to go them when I visit my relatives in TN.

Steak and Shake love the shakes!!! We always stop at one on the drive to WDW just south of Nashville around where Saturn Plant is..

I'm here! I'm hangin' with ya guys! I am just buried at work to the point of making me break down and cry in my boss's office (now remember I work for the top dogs here at this mucho baloocho company so I am mighty embarrassed right now). Turns out you know who came to visit last night. Now why can't a woman just tell everyone during specific time periods, "it's be nice nice to me day because if you don't and you're a man, you are gonna get water works."

So, carry on. I am here in spirit. My fam's on the mend somewhat - son's still got croup, but he's at school. I am leaving them all behind this weekend and heading to Philly for work for three days - that's gonna suck being away from Catrina for the 1st time. But in other ways it will be good to just be off on my own for a little while. I see many movies in my future! I'm also going to be visiting some friends.

I remember when my sis and I had to build cells. We used a foam ball and cut away a section and used various candies and bits.

NC Belle Great minds! Almost exactly what we did...used the foam ball, a sack of mixed beans and pipecleaners and such...proud to say it actually turned out great!

Thanks for the PD 39Cindy and Geffric. But please save it for next week. I am such a loser. I freaked out when they put me in that tube. My heart started beating really fast etc. I knew there was no way I could lay in that thing for 2.5 hours. Now I have to take a tranquilizer to sedate me before the test. Good. I would rather sleep during the test. Now I know that I am claustophobic! Why me???? I have to have a friend drive me. My hubby is in Egypt till who knows when so he is out of the picture. Thank God for good friends!!!

2.5 hours to lay in the MRI tube? .. i would freakout too. it is bad enough to be in there for 20 minutes. The tranquilizer to sedate you is a very good idea.

CG, trust me; they knew that (thinking of delicate thoughts) Your Auntie Flow was visiting. There are alway subtle clue (like the demonic look in the eyes). They know you and understand.
