Goodmorning everyone!

I have something for all you space camp Moms. My son is really into watching -and his Mom may be pushing it cause she wants him to be an astronaut - the Popular Science for Kids video on Rocket Ships. Its a really good video. Way too old for my son, but he loves it and loves learning about the Space Shuttle. I really like it too.

OK - so, oh yeah, one other thing. I know all about Lake Norman. I had to supervise an inventory (don't ask, its a wierd thing my company does to torture finance executives a couple times a year) in Mooresville. Being that my interest lies in real estate, I chose to drive all around the area during my down time during the day. I also visited all the garages of the drivers and went to the store for the NASCAR Museum. I had a great time down there and really liked it. BUT, having been there and having seen pictures of Lake Lure, I think I am all about Lake Lure. Its very much like where I grew up in Western Mass.

My next inventory torture is actually this weekend, but I am only going a half hour from home so it should be fine. Next month I travel to New Jersey and I am bringing my family with me for that one.

Oh ChocolateSista the only way we can go on the spring break cruise is to book on board and on the first day the cruise opens. I checked DCL and there is availabilty for a cat 10, but it cost over 2X what we paid for the cruise..

My brother had a home on Lake Norman for many years.....visited there a couple of times. I sure liked walking out the back door and getting on the boat. Now he's on his second family and has 11 acres of wooded horse property...visited there a couple of times. I sure liked walking out the back door and getting on a horse!

geffric, have you visited the t-shirt thread? They've designed a great one for Old Key West. If I find that page again (the thread is up to 180 some), I'll post a link for you.

Iboucetoo Wow....nice lake house....nice horse farm....lucky you to have such a brother...do ya think he'd adopt me...not only would I have a wonderful home but a wonderful Disney-loving aunt as well!

Castlegazer Loved Midnite's designs, especially the cruise and Mission Space Mickey heads. And you're probably smart to want a lake house on Lake Lure, the self-proclaimed "in" crowd at Lake Norman not only have way too much $$$ for their own good but some are real snobs to boot I've been to a few house parties there and felt uncomfortable about how they talked about the "riff-raff" across the lake, in only the half-million dollar weekend homes of course I can't see you being that way so I'll be up to visit once you get settled

NC Belle So are your kitchen floors finished yet? I bet Jessie, not to mention her mom, will be happy when the workmen are done and out of there!

Geffric Due to school scheduling conflicts, I already had to change our super low cruise dates to the President's Day weekend cruise and let me just say as far as price is concerned...OUCH! And I'm sure it's not even close to the prices on your dates Sure hope there's a nice upgrade in our future

OK - I have now been gone from the thread for three full days - two of which I was on an overnight inventory and I am now so sleep deprived I can't think straight. I come bracing myself for a long read session and lo and behold - NOTHING!

1) is there a new thread I have to find again by myself?

2) has something happened?

3) How is everyone? Has school started yet for everyone or do we have a few more weeks of summer???

We should take a Back's Poll on school start date! QOTD: what date does you child go back to school?

OH, and it was a tax free holiday here this weekend. So, we bought a new HP photo printer - I am officially moving into digital scrapbooking. We also bought PS2 - and we are still trying to figure out how to use the damn thing - we are soo old!!! (we talked ouselves into the PS2 by saying we needed a DVD player in the bedroom anyways...... so......why not get PS2...... )

Jordan has just started soccer practice and it's hot, hot, hot out there! I feel sorry for those kids...he's got plenty of ice water but his little face is still fire engine red the whole time he loves it though

We went to town yesterday and got my glasses fixed. I can see the computer now. I got a new cut----anyone want to venture on how many inches got wacked? <---hint on inches
NC Beast did not recognize me at first when I went to find him around the mall---he had my glasses worked on during the Cut. He tried to get my attention by waving---I couldn't see him even though I was looking up at him (he was on the second floor and I was on the 1st floor). Security began to follow him at one point.

Yep, really scary. I have a TA and I don't understand it all, but why would the rates be cheaper there than anything she's quoted. I don't get it all. I can't even bear to go look. Besides, what fun would it be cruisin pregnant?
