MR BACK's Back!

cadsmom - have a great trip to go get your baby!!!! No crying, now!

;)

Geffric, your trip sounds wonderful. ::yes:: I know DHB is getting very excited about hers. Sounds like you were able to do a lot by getting there early in the day. That's something I wish we would've done more during our Spring Break trip, but it's so hard to get up and get going!

Rick - once again, good work! It's gotta be very satisfying to go out there and give, give, give everyday. :goodvibes Mmmmm, ice cream. Sounds like it was a great party!

Oddball, when is your imaginary friend gonna come out and play, hmmm? ;)

QOTD: Have you ever had an imaginary friend? What about your kids?

We had a big day. Went to GattiTown. Woohoo. It was nice to get out though. Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain. And it doesn't look like it's going to get any better any time soon. It's either raining, just finished raining or getting ready to rain. :sad2:

Right now, it's raining.

Oh yeah! Brat Camp is fun! Not for the Brats so much, but fun for the viewer. :teeth:

Sorry to be post happy, I am in the middle of thinking through some wording on a memo and DIS'ing helps me formulate my thoughts - yeah, well, that's what I tell myself anyways.

My son actually has one - Hocka. I have no idea where he got that name. It was really wierd when he began "appearing" around. He hasn't played with him in a while - funny, probably since his sister arrived - I would've thought the friend would have come out more then, but anyways, we just brought it up last night to him asking what happened to him. He just smiled and didn't answer :confused3

I had one, but have no idea what her name was or what I used to do with her - just remember having one for a little while.

:rotfl: well, she's supposed to today, lol!! :rotfl: ;) ALLY WHERE ARE YOUUUUUU?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

i had imaginary friends!! the ones i remember most are bertha and henry, and their dog toby. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: i'd always sit under the table at my aunt's house{this was when i was around 3} and they would be eating and i'd poke them and say that toby did it or something like that!! :rotfl: it was the funniest stuff!! :rotfl:

i wish it would rain here. i want lots so it will cool us down{even thouugh were only at 88} and take the humidity away!! which would take a lot of rain and clouds, lol. :teeth:

:teeth: i may watch it next time.

I had an imaginary friend named Marlene. She mainly just walked me to school everyday. ;) She was pretty cool.

Holly had a very creepy imaginary friend, who was simply called "my invisible friend". Get this - she came out of the mirror in her bathroom! AND! Her parents had both died in a car wreck so she came to live with us! :scared: She even came on vacation with us, know how? She travels through mirrors! Any mirror. So you basically never knew where she might be

I like that your imaginary friends had a dog Nutball. Nice perk. :teeth:

Sooooo, where is your new imaginary friend hanging out???????

On the related matter of her positional plagio, she needs to have some follow up visits rapidly to see if we get some more progress (we've had a lot in the last few weeks - amazing progress and I am shocked I have been able to get it, truthfully), and then in the next couple of weeks, we will determine whether she needs a helmet or not. She will be getting physical therapy for her tilt she now has in the way she holds her head - again caused by the way she lays her head.
They thought my first born would need this. I went out and bought a head boppy and whenever he was tilting that way, I'd put that sucker on. We also did daily neck excercises to loosen the muscle. They told me the problem is that the side he was tilting toward was a shorter muscle and if worked on it would stretch itself out enough so he'd be able to hold his head up better. It worked, no helmet. I'm sure they've told you all about that though. Hang in there!

Hi all! Last night was a blast! The only performer I knew was Curtis Blow of "Basketball" fame. He put on a great show! There were others as well but I have no idea who they were. Man, I'm old!

As for the b-ball players, it was a bunch of All Star players in school leagues lead by a some NBA guys for each team. Again, I have no idea who they were. I'm old and I'm b-ball stupid.

But I had a great time, the volunteers did amazing albeit tiring work, and our clients really enjoyed themselves. (Our clients are chronically homeless men and women who are part of our housing/vocational training/day treatment programs). We had a BBQ for the men and women before everything got rolling and they loved it. Haagen Dazs donated more icecream than I've ever seen in one place and boy, is my wrist tired from scooping, scooping, scooping. We all also smelled like grilled hotdogs and burgers by day's end too.

The most gratifying thing during the day/evening is seeing our clients work hand in hand with our volunteers like a well oiled machine. Everyone was respectful and EVERYONE worked. I kept trying to tell the clients that they were invited as guests and we were there to work but they refused to budge and wanted to work alongside us. It was a sight!

Once the show, speakers and players got started, it was pretty cool. The courts were outdoors in the heart of Greenwich Village (lover Manhattan) and community residents and folks from all over were taking it all in. Lots of t-shirts were sold, prizes were given out and donations came in. I have no idea of the kind of money that was raised, but truthfully, we were there for the exposure and it was a LOT of exposure!

Anyway, I gotta run again. I promised to volunteer (for where I used to work) at another fundraiser this afternoon and I have some work to finish here first.

Hope you guys have a great day!
Uh, hello to you too! Geez, pop in to the thread and can't even ask how I am doing? I'm feeling great, thank you. Don't you see.....it's all about ME? ;)

I am quite sure you were there for the exposure. Now, tell us what you exposed?

Way to go Rick, I live vicariously through you and all the good you do for the community. Oh and who'd have thunk it? Why a man of your.....what do you call it.....ilk doing all kinds of good in the world? You are the bomb and put me to shame! Oh and HI Joe. :teeth:

llebrekniT no imaginary friends for myself or eldest. The little guy, well, he can't imagine anything other than Pooh and gang, Thomas, dump trucks, tractors and busses right now. ;)

Hey all, Might I join the party???

I thought it was a might quiet, so I looked on the CB, and here you all moved!!!!

:jumping2:

Hey everyone!

Rick, you are awesome. I wish I were more like you. Sounds like a happenin' party. How's Joe? Getting ready for school yet? How exciting for him.

Welcome Ally!!

Ashton, anything new in your neck of the woods?

QOTD: I don't think I had an imaginary friend, but Josh did last year. His name was Jeff. I said "who's Jeff?" Josh would say "He's my imaginary friend." :rotfl: One day I said "Josh, I've got to go to work tomorrow". He said "Jeff says work is for suckers". :rotfl2: I about died. Jeff was a funny guy. LOL.

Hey Ohana! :wave2:

Castlegazer, You must put YOUR foot down. Brat Camp is friggin' awesome. It is so good. You have to watch it. DO YOU HEAR ME WOMAN??

AOTD: I never did, but I remember my sister (4 years younger) had one named Mary. She used to smack the air over the table next to her plate and say "Mary, it's not polite to climb on the table." If my kids had any, they never told me.

ILT

I had no imaginary friends---but, had to make up a story about a baby brother when I was 5 years old for creative writing. I only have an older sis (1 year and 11 days older).

Good morning girls! and Rick! ;)

Welcome BD555!!! I was beginning to wonder if you were a Real girl or not. ;) Cute story about the blankie. Holly, my DD-8, calls hers a "she". But a blankie is NOT an imaginary friend, uh-uh, very different indeed.::yes::

Just got caught up and now Buggins is waking, gotta run!

Morning.. Geoff had an imaginery friend when he was in the 2's, her name was Tina and sometimes she was very small and when you sat down he had a fit 'cause you had sat on Tina, other times she was normal size. Once when we were on a plane , he had a fit 'cause there was no where for Tina to sit.. ( like we were supposed to by her a seat LOL). The best story was when he had a music class, and at one point in time, he said very ugently that we had to go to the bathroom fast.. So we ran off, dragging baby Eric, well it turned out that Tina had to go, not Geoff. Tina sat down and then he helped her and flushed, then Tina had to wash her hands - with Geoff helping. At the end of class, the teacher said that he was doing very well with his potty training. As I was packing both kids up, said "no that was Tina' and walked out. Tina had becone so much a part of our lives that I never thought how looney that sounded until later..

Bring bagels and chocolate cream cheese for breakfast and Starbuck's chocolate mint frappe..

I'm gonna check in on work email and talk to you later..

Hey guys, good mornin'

Hey BrokenDreams555! Had to copy it so I got it right - it comes out wierd when you do that, sorry.

Lewski - I remember that your son had the same head thingy. Thanks for the support. I also stretch her neck as often as I can, but not being with her during the day, I have to rely on them to try and get her to set it straight - they are awesome, but this is a little tricky since it involves pushing their neck, I think I would rather be the one to do that.

Its funny, I was cool with everything all the way up to last night and then I am now starting to freak out with what they may find in the chromosome test. I have been bugging my husband who has some genetics experience in his past and he is ready to bop me one with all my questions.

Oh geffric - if there was ever a morning I needed a Frappucino, it would be this morning, so thanks so much!!!! I could not pull myself out of bed today and I went to bed at 9:30 last night - how sad is that?

Good morning all!!!!!

geffric, thanks for breakfast.

llebrekniT, thanks for including me as one of the girls, since posting here I think I have become more sensative...

Hi BrokenDreams555, nice to meet ya...

Hey, oddball27, I know this is so last year, but I still watch AC. I kind of identify with Mikey...

Hey it's the weekend, shouldn't there be a party?????

Hey ladies and gents! Yesterday's event was also great fun and raised more than $4,000 in just a couple of hours. Not a huge sum, but still a worthy endeavor. And quit the "you're so fab" stuff! It's embarrassing! If you must, send me money! I feel like I need an iPod for all my hard work. Or a PSP or something. LOL!

And Lewski, how ARE you? Still fabulous? How are things in YOUR neck of the woods? How is YOUR family? How is YOUR life? LOL!

Hope all is well for everyone today! Gonna be a tad busy today with meetin's but I'll try to pop in and say howdy later. And for that asked, Joe is doing great. He still has a couple of things left to do today to be certain he can 100% accept the teaching position (per NY state certification stuff) so keep your fingers crossed he doesn't come across some snotty bureaucrat!

Be good.

Hi RickinNYC, sounds like you are soon to be back on TV.....:)

OK, My family is going to WDW on 10/22, and we were tentatively going to meet on 10/24 at O'hannaswith edcrbnsoul (and whatever family he wants to bring along; I can't seem to pin him down), NC Belle & NC Beast. Anybody else interested (We are doing MNSSHP on the 24th, and the NC Beast family is only doing a long weekend) We'd love to see any of you. I also lost HuggaBaloo's number, I would love to invited them as well.....

Oh, I have some good news, RRBB found a backup of our pictures from last October. She was really disappointed when we thought we lost them. Something about a toenail polish picture...

Oh well, off to work...Must shower and track down underpants gnomes first...
