We had a good soaking rain from Sat. night to last night. The garden looks healthier today. We have baby squash which may get big enough to harvest soon.

We hope that by the end of next month that we will have a neighborhood watch. The sheriff is suppose to come out to talk on the how-to parts...he has limited soureces in our neck of the woods (most concentrations of his office are for the areas close to I-40/I-95 which is a quite a distance from us). The other houses that got hit in the past only really had things stolen out of the sheds.

Our steam is starting to run out
We were at the store again late - until 10:20pm
The kids have been really great - I'm so glad we got the tv w/ dvd player for them. They just lay in the office and watch tv . But I'm starting to feel so quilty about keeping them up so late. I told Stephanie that after Friday, it's going to be much better.


So today is a very very busy day - I'm not looking forward to it at all
After I get to work, I have a 100 things to do.
Then at 11:30 I have a Chamber of Commerce lunch (I joined our town's business Chamber of Commerce).
After that I have to go back to the store and do another 100 things.
After my delivery, which will hopefully be on time, I need to rush home and get Stephanie ready for her dress rehearsal - that's at 5:30pm at a school that's a 1/2 hour away.
After that I need to feed us, and go back to the store so my mom and I can make 150 gift bags for this party tomorrow.
Afterwards I can come home and die


All I can say is thank goodness I have my new employee. She has been helping me so much - she's just great!!!! She'll be at the store today while I'm gone to do things - she's been a great help!!!!


Well, I gotta go figure out what I'm going to wear to this lunch
I don't want to go because I have so much to do. But they are all invited to my party tomorrow, so I need to go.

I AM SO GLAD THAT YESTERDAY IS OVER!!!!!!

The party went very well, and it was a success. I was expecting some more people, but with it being a Friday night, in the summer, maybe they had other plans. I know several people we knew couldn't come due to their children having baseball/softball games. But we still had a good showing, and everyone had nothing but compliments for the store, which made me feel very good

I woke up this morning to another phone call about the alarm going off The phone call came in at 5:30am, and I had to run over there to turn the alarm off and meet the police. It was sorta funny though because the police officer that responded was someone I invited to the party, but couldn't come because he had to work. So I told him, "So you decided to make it to the party afterall!" We both laughed!!!

Now today we have Stephanie's dance recital at 12:30 and then this weeks activities are over!!!! To celebrate the end of the week, my family and us are going back over to the store after the recital and having left overs from last night. Sandwiches, fruit, cheese, and cake - it will be nice to sit and relax!!!!

Tomorrow I think Kevin and the girls are going to go swimming, and I have to go to the store and finish putting all the prices into my computer system. It's a boring job, but not a stressful job, so I don't mind doing it. Plus I need to have it done to be ready to open on Monday

Well, I gotta get ready for this recital, and then get Stephanie awake to make her beautiful for this recital. She really wants to wear makeup, and have sparkles in her hair She's going to look so grown up - I want her to stay little and small forever.

Stephanie did have fun at her recital, and she said the "backstage mom" made things fun too (which is good, because this was my first time not being a backstage mom). She is growing up way to fast - I wish I could keep her little and small forever, but I guess that is unrealistic

I'm going to call the alarm company first thing this morning to see what we can do about this alarm going off often. I currently am not using the alarm, and I don't like that at all

I had a great first day yesterday at the store.

I had 2 customers that both spent money - what a great way to start of the business
