We're planning to kidnap the two of you and smuggle you onboard....only thing is, I like the queen bed for myself so you and the teenheartthrobs are gonna have to wrastle for the flip-over sofa bed :crowded:

NCBelle I know what you're going through noodling around vacation ideas. I have to come up with some place to go with my time share points (have enought for one week pretty much anywhere thru RCI) to do a trip with big sister. Can't cost a whole lot to get there (so were staying in the US) and can't cost a whole lot to play/eat there. She wants art galleries to visit and we're looking to go SOON (Feb/March), so I'm thinking SOMEWHERE along the California coast. Anybody got any ideas???? (We've done San Diego).

Did I mention little sister is cruising with me in November.....so we're upgrading to a cat 6 with a VERANDAH!! :thumbsup2

So---what RCI resorts in So. California/Arizona have you tried? I was thinking of asking my in-laws if they want to go out there (they go through RCI for some vacations)? My in-laws loved driving up the coast several years ago---I don't recall all of their stops.

:yay: party: :simba: :figment: :tink: We actually got refunds this year from both federal and NC (not a whole lot---but, it beats paying)!!!

I got to get Disney Epcot songs out of my head---I fell asleep to the cds with Figment/Imagination and Food Rocks. I guess singing Veggie, veggie, fruit, Fruit helps a little in picking out meals (well--it didn't help with the Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream).

Morning... :coffee: just a few minutes before I am off and running.. cleaning, cooking, did all the laundry yesterday but darn they keep wearing clothes.. We went to dinner last night at Weber Grill.. YUMMY!!! I had the king salmon BBQ - oh it was delic, Eric had the BBQ Chicken, DH has a pork tenderloin and Geoff had the Ribs..We all split a ceasr's salad.. Loved the food, way too much even for us so we have been eating for breakfast.YUMMY!!! It was a super treat. The bread they serverd was hot and both Geoff and I thought it remindered us of the pretzel brad at le Celler.

Ibounce how you doing?? a verandah.. WOW that is great.. Which cabin?? Take pictures so we can see what one looks like..

Oh well off the get some work done, be back later

Hi kids, just popping in before the SAG awards start. Hope you all had a good weekend. This morning I changed my cruise reservation from my solo cat 11 inside stateroom to a Cat 5 verandah with my sister! I've been doing the happy dance all day.....welll, except when I took my nap!

geffric stateroom number 7612, starboard, aft We bumped up to a cat 5 because I didn't like the cat 6 locations. I had the DIS stateroom report on my computer while I had DCL on the phone, so I'd read the review for each stateroom they offered. Plus I really wanted deck 7 for that quick run up to the beverage station! I think the CM freaked when she mentioned the first room and I said, "Oh, that's right across for the service elevator, let's try another".

Tomorrow I'll make contact with the AAA agent who is handling a group reservation for some of the DISers on my cruise meets thread. They should be able to add me to the group and save maybe $200 PLUS get a $150 stateroom credit.

I'd say it's been a very good trip planning day ::yes::

ibouncetoo that sounds wonderful.. great deal too to get all those discounts makes this even more magical... IS it an Eastern or western?

Morning all.. speaking of cruises.. our western is less than 2 months away.. but first Eric and I get to meet cadmomchocolatesista and Jordon for breakfast before they leave on their cruise.. wow we re the cruising TAG bunch this year...

Castlegazer did you decide if you are cruising or beaching it?

Well off to work..so i can pay for the cruise stuff..

Neither....it's a SPECIAL---Double Dip! Castaway Cay/Sea/Costa Maya/Cozumel/Sea/Castaway Cay. (A modified western) Little sister is very excited.

Now I have to plan a trip with big sister.....somewhere we can use my timeshare points. She wants to go soon, so I'm thinking it has to be California coast for the best weather. I've done a little research on the RCI site, but nothing is jumping out at me. We've 'done' San Diego, but maybe she'd want to go back....guess I'd better ask.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning to the Mr. Back's Back Thread!!! :sunny:

I home from work today with Baby Katie because she has a Staph Infection. Until her culture comes back, this is where we will be.

So, I figured while I'm home I'd stop by and say hello!!!

7112 was the cabin I was offered, but I asked for starboard because for some reason that's the side Peg wanted (and may be a good choice for CC viewing as the ship usually backs in). The laundry room is a short way down the hall....in case there's need for an emergency load.

geffric can't wait to hear about you stop a Cozumel. I'm not making any kind of excursion decisions for several months, but I'm thinking a dolphin encounter will be MANDATORY for Peg ::yes::

:sail: Yep, CC viewing is nice but remember, the ship doesn't always back in. It did last year and although we didn't have the "beach" view, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast on our balcony watching friends disembark and shouting hello, not to mention how cool it was for a 10 yr old to watch the docking process(not to mention his mama) ;) So if the ship doesn't back in(as it's been a toss up on our last 5 cruises) not to worry, the view is still way cool on the other side...can't lose either way :teeth:

:scratchin Oh, and one more thing...had friends in the suite directly above and although the husband was an avid smoker :smokin: I NEVER smelled the smoke, not even in port. I spent several cocktail hrs up there enjoying their, um, amenities and gracious hospitality, and his sweet wife always apologized, thinking he was running everyone off their respective balconies with his um, er, morning, noon, afternoon and nightly cigars but it really wasn't a problem. Just thought I'd throw that in as many are worried about the smoke issue with balconies...I never had a problem and I'm super sensitive...guess that's Disney for ya! :smickey:

Ok, it's late, I'm getting giddy with all this cruise talk and starting to babble.....

...and holy moly, check out my countdown timer:magnify:...subtract another day and I'll be breakfasting with ChocolateSista :Pinkbounc

Life is good! :thumbsup2

:magnify: Cadburysmom is probably excited after hearing that the weather pattern is going to change for NC where we be getting :cold: :cold: while she is :boat: party: pirate: :sail: .

That is okay because we will have fun this year in CA or AZ or TX or wherever we get a good deal at the right time. NC Beast got excited when he heard the Electrical Street parade is at DCA.

NC Belle not to be forgotten is that a certain TAGLIKIN lives in AZ. ::yes::

We aren't going to WDW either this year. Well The family isn't 'cause we don't have any time that all 4 of us can vacation. Yep it is true!! Geoff is going to summer school and then to Philmont the Boys Scout high adventure ranch in New Mexico for a 2 week trek and then staying for an additonal week for some leder training. Eric has football starting 8/1, so when Geof can go Eric can't and vica versa. However,we are going to pick Geoff up in New Mexico so We are going to visit some of the national parks etc in CO and New Mexico.

But that does lead me to the next topic.. I have an AP at WDW, points from DVC, and 4 weeks of vacation, so just cause the boys can't go to WDW doesn't mean that I can't.. Anyone want to play at WDW? Maybe for the F&W festival? Let me know.

Hey there everybody!

What's going on? I just read through this page, well ok, I skimmed. I can't tell, but it seems like this is a Disney Cruise thread or something now? What up? I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to visit. :sad2:

Just thought I'd pop in to pop that off. :) Have a nice day!

PS This guy is cute :clown: I think Lewski would like to meet him. ;)
