We had pretty strong t-storms--- our tornado watch was lifted this morning. Jessie ran into the bedroom and hid in our blankets. I got her off the bed and into her crate. She was full of energy this morning. NC Beast didn't realize it was storming when he was working last night/this morning (:confused3 ).

I strongly detest snow storms---I would be happy if we skip them this year.

You have been stalking me cadsmom!!!!????

Yeah - but for the last month I have been in the mode of "Ok, we are going on this cruise" - but we just talked again this weekend and we are back in the boat of just staying in Florida. I may need to have someone else pick up the wrist bands for the group. We are still tossing it around. But economically, it makes a ton of sense to stay in Florida for a week and a half.

You know how they always show the last post posted whenever you sign onto a board, well quite a while ago I signed onto the DCL forum and your post popped up as the last one posted. I recognized your name and read it....you were taking orders for wristbands and I remember thinking what a cool idea and what fun people were on that thread :)

You'll make the right decision...every family is different so do what is best for you. I think they are both great vacations so either way, you can't lose. As long as you know what to expect, you can be prepared and have a wonderful time. Just promise you'll post pics of cute Catrina and Josh the minute you return! :teeth:

...um, about yesterday's game... :rolleyes1

:scared: :crazy2:  :(

but then there is the ILLINI BASKETBALL.......

Really one can't possibly think that 2 chicago teams could win.( never happened before) , yep thats the type of thing that happens other places not here.. but maybe the defense thought that they were supposed to be watching the game in a bar with the rest of the folks , not playing in it..:rotfl: . ....LOL :rotfl2: . at least we got the SOXs...

and now off to Champaign..

They are really cool - and I will be super bummed not to go with them - they have plans for a key lime martini party already! I think I will still get the wrist bands as I will be able to see some of them either in WDW or in Cocoa Beach the nights before the cruise.

My husband and I had lunch together today and we are both really leaning to just relaxing at the beach for a 12 day vacation. Now I need to find a babysitter I can trust out there and we will be all set! Two things still do hold me back from calling the whole thing off:

1) I really want to go on the cruise, as in cruises like we used to take, not labor intensive cruises with two wee ones.
2) The prices have gone through the roof - I have a great deal, who knows when I will get to get that price again.

Two things to look forward to by not going:
1) the beach - liesurely
2) The Flower and Garden festival and Soaring

Good morning...good morning...good morning! :sunny:

Just had my first pumpkin latte at Starbucks and now enjoying a caffeine/sugar high :hyper: So did anyone watch Golden Globes Awards last night....absolutely love it and the Oscars...gotta admit I love the Oscars a bit more...I'm a movie nut plus the fashions, the glamour...can't wait! :teeth:

Ibouncetoo Aren't you an avid movie goer too?

Have you seen Tristan and Isolde yet...that boy is HOT HOT HOT! :lovestruc :faint:

Geffric Um, let's wait til after Thur before we talk basketball  ...so did you and hubby do anything to celebrate your anniversary or have I once again gotten my dates botched

Castlegazer :scratchin :confused3  Maybe flip a coin or do you prefer rock-paper-scissors? :p Tough decision...I feel for ya :worried:

Cheeringmom

yeah, I did - but not with a big party like someone we all know - I was in my nighty all tucked in to bed after watching 24.

I like the golden globes better because of the open bar - you get moments like last night where the camera pans to George Clooney sticking a shot glass to his eye :rotfl2:

I really liked the show last night - but had to call my husband up for translation of some of the films as I am so sheltered from movies right now - he is a total movie buff.

I was very happy for Hoffman. He is awesome!

yeah, this one is a toughy - added to it is now some family stuff too, Blah, blah, blah. Anyways - its why I don't plan vacations out 18 months as a habit.

Haven't seen it yet......been movie deprived due to major cold/flu/crud. I want to see it because of RUFUS !!! I'm also curious if the movie ends the way the legend does......badly for everyone (think Romeo & Juliet)....or if they make a 'romance movie' out of it.

LORDY....I loved the George Clooney, shot glass in the eye bit!

That was seriously funny - did you see how embarrassed he looked later? I loved that it showed a real person - I totally would have been caught doing something like that. Did you see all the bottle of champagne of the tables? That must have been a serious party. I would have been doing the same thing if I knew a limo was there to take me home.

I thought it was good picks all around too. What's all this hubub about it being boring. I thought no such thing. I liked it better than the glammed up Academy Awards - it also was super prompt too - gotta love that!

cadsmom - how's Jordan these days?

geffric - I forgot to wish you Happy Anniversary! Anything special to mark the day?

Howdy!

What's shakin'? Not much here. We went to my oldest brother's lake house over the weekend. Too cold for lake fun, but perfect for drinking lotsa beer & watching football (2 of my most favorite things EVER).

Castlegazer, did you see Steve Carrell win!?! WOO HOO! His speech was by far the best. I love that man. What in the hell was Drew Barrymore thinking when she walked outta the house in that dress with no, uh, support? I thought Sandra Oh's dress was the pertiest.

Ibounce, last week's LOST was the best so far this season. Can't wait for tonight! Did you see Mr. Eko at the Globes? I love himt.

Cheeringmom, I hope you are doing well! :)

Later taters.

Woa - I missed this!

As for Lost - gotta disagree about it being the best this season - are we in a new season - I am so confused about the hiatus thing. But anyways, I thought it was a darn good episode and I think Eko is one of the best characters ever on TV. This show is soooo goood. Its also starting to show signs of the fact that JJ is writing it as he goes and has no overall plan - such as where the hell are the polar bears thingies and the mechanical thing that makes noises in the jungle and eats people? But overall, I love the suspense - plus thay have started writing it for the on-line chat boards - cool!!! But I am not that geeky and have not joined any of those things - "join a chat board??? How totally weird that would be - I am not a geek!" :rotfl2:

But I also think you should start watching 24 - it is a great show! You only need to catch up on 4 episodes and you will be hooked for this new season. They ran the 4 back to back last Sunday and Monday.

Geffric--- I hope that you had a wonderful anniversary!

I don't really get into award shows. NC Beast had us watch some Animal Planet shows and other shows.
