It just dawned on my that I have a baby shower next Sunday, and I haven't bought a gift yet. I possibly have jury duty next week (I won't know until Sunday night - I sure hope my number isn't called. This jury is such bad timing), so I guess I should go this weekend

We were up and about early today doing errands and a job interview (grocery cashier).

I looked at my slip yesterday and it said I could call yesterday - so I did, and my number was picked to appear Monday So now, I have to hope that they won't pick me for an actual jury I just can't get over how this is such bad timing!!!

I did pretty good---the hiring manager called and had set me up to meet the bakery manager. I met him this afternoon.

Looks like we are going to have another beautiful day here in the Chicago area Hopefully I will get out of jury duty early so I can enjoy it

The Bakery Manager? Are you going to work in the bakery section or does the store policy have you interview with various managers? When will they let you know?

I GOT DISMISSED!!!!!​

I was so happy!!!!
It was a criminal case, where battery was involved, and I told the judge that my husband is an officer on the FD, an EMT, and a fire inspector, and I can't guarantee that I can keep an open mind for this case. I told him that because Kevin works so closely with the Police, we know many police officers very very well. This is not info they wanted to hear so I was let go!!!
