You're crafts are amazing! I'm still debating what I'm going to DIY for my wedding, but then I go on Etsy and I'm like, I can pay someone to do it so much better than what I could do . And, BTW, I'm TOTALLY with you on the costs of wedding stuff. I bought my wedding dress off of Ebay and I think annoyed everyone in the process. I'm sorry, I refuse to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on stuff for one day, even if we can afford it.

I always love your TR's 'cause of your honesty and details. Relaxing Disney trips are some of the best! I'm also interested to hear if you enjoyed staying onsite more than off.

I remember reading about your trip to King's Dominion and the Williamsburg, VA area (which is where I happen to live) and it's amazing to keep up with someone (albeit online) and see how their lives grow and change .

Love all your DIY/Disney touches, everything looked amazing, but I know how stressful it can be! It can be such a relief when the wedding is over and you can actually enjoy being MARRIED!

I wholeheartedly understand the busy life of a teacher! I really am enjoying the fact that the wedding is over. My "big project" now is getting the apartment all clean and set up! Plus, I have to do thank you cards for gifts!

Thank you! I think our guests were happy about the pretzels as a ceremony favor because a lot of them ate it right away! Guess some people skipped breakfast because the ceremony started so early, haha.

Thank you! I hope to one day help other people out with some DIY projects too. That's why I wanted to purposely do them for mine so I could "show off," so to speak, to my friends! I'd like to one day run my own small business with papercraft things (not just geared towards weddings).

Haha, you got it! HWB is still at my parents' house actually! Shocker. I have to bring him here next time I go over along with his other 2 Disney outfits. I bought them in April, and I told the CM, "Yeah, I'm 27, but I still have a bear ..." but she was sweet and was like, "You're never too old for this!"

RIGHT? Jim and Pam are the absolute best! Howard was the one who got me into watching The Office. When they finally got married on the show, he stopped watching even though I continued (not a fan of the episodes now without Michael Scott though; they're okay, but they're just not the same and not as funny). He said that that's all he needed to know, that they end up together.

Thank you! I think doing papercraft type projects is the only reason why I was able to get through these past 2 school years. I would think about my latest goodies and think about how I could use them when I was feeling stressed out. It gave me something to do other than just sit there and stress because I really become consumed by my latest card when I'm working on them!

Mr. and Mrs. Weak Sauce: Getting Ready

... for the night of nights, the night of nights, alright! Oh wait, the wedding was in the morning, but we just love HSM3 way too much for two people in their mid-20s. Anyway, our wedding ceremony on May 19th was set for 9am since our cocktail hour before the reception started at 12pm. That meant the makeup artist and hairstylist had to get to my house at 5am!

Surprisingly, I had no trouble falling asleep the night before, and I also had no issues eating that morning. Normally, I can't eat a bite when something new or important is happening because I'm too nervous! I was very thankful that I felt fine! While the hair and makeup girl, Kim, worked on me, I took bites of a bagel with smushed avocado on it (greatest thing ever since avocado is awesome, and I can't have cream cheese).

I was also extremely happy that the application of the makeup was less bothersome this time as opposed to the trial month earlier. I am just not the type of girl that likes all the fussy stuff, so things like an eyelash curler were kinda stressful!

For my hair, all I wanted was to have a side part with some hair pulled back and then all curly. I had left my hair super long for the wedding since I cut it to donate every 2 years and this is my cut year.

During the trial, I specifically asked 3 separate times whether it was truly necessary for me to have fake eyelashes. She said that it would make a big difference in the photos, but I wasn't so happy about the discomfort. Again, thankfully the wedding day eyelashes didn't bother me at all (probably because I asked her to lighten up on the makeup too)! I hope I never have to do it again though!

Man, all that work and "torture" just for the wedding day! Howard, on the other hand, just had to change! Haha, guys have it a lot easier than girls do!

That's not to say that they had it all easy. Haha, Howard and his best man had issues trying to figure out how to fold the little handkerchief thingie that pops out of their pockets!

Back at my house, I had to finish up my vows! I had stayed up the night before typing it out (yes, I waited to the last minute, but that's what happens with a ton of DIY projects, being a teacher, and ... well, procrastination because I wanted them to be just right!). I printed them but wanted them to be a little bit nicer than just a sheet of computer paper. I decided to mount it on pink cardstock. Too bad I didn't think of it earlier so that I could have had Howard mount his on green cardstock!

Time-wise, Howard was already at the church before I even had my dress on! Here he is setting up the sand for our sand ceremony. Personally, I just did not want to do the candle lighting ceremony. I kept saying that there wasn't a point because I could get my candle to the main candle before he does and it will still light. I didn't quite understand why it was representing unity since technically the other person's candle isn't needed. Besides, I hate dealing with candles and fire! I bought the stuff for the sand ceremony last minute when I discovered my mom randomly had 2 little packages of green and pink sand in a kids' sand art kit! Michaels didn't have our colors from what I remember, but I did end up getting white to represent God's foundation (plus, there wasn't enough sand to fill the whole center vase!). What I like about the sand ceremony is that once they're poured it together, there's no separating the individual grains so that would be representational of our lives. By the way, if you ever think of doing this for your wedding, buy the pieces separately. The sets they sell are crazy expensive (unless you like the whole heart vase set-up, but there is supposedly a way to "seal" the open vase ones with candle wax)!

It was time for me to put on my dress! I just had to put this one up specifically because it's a better shot of my hair. Love how curly it was without being tight curls! By the time of the reception or mid-reception, it had started to straighten, which you'll see later on. I didn't care that much then though because as long as it looked good in the wedding pictures and the photo session, I was fine!

My girls helping me put on my dress! I was worried that I'd have issues fitting into my dress because for a few months before the wedding, I kept losing weight (primarily due to lack of appetite and stress from work; it wasn't intentional). I started thinking that I should've gotten a dress with a corset back, but I don't like the look at ALL for me. My dress just had a hook and eye at the top and a zipper! Thankfully, it all fit perfectly! And the ease of putting it on also meant there was ease in taking it off because when I went to the bathroom later that day, I just had the girls hold my dress up as I slipped the whole thing off! Haha, that was one huge thing I worried about when buying my dress. I told the consultant, "I want the dress to be chiffon AND I have to be able to go to the bathroom by myself!"

I wasn't intending on wearing any jewelry because the only stuff I wear on a daily basis are my e-ring (and now wedding ring), one other ring that has significance, and my watch (purchased after my first teaching observation when the clock in the room was wrong and my timing was off in finishing my lesson!). One of my mom's relatives owns a jewelry store and as part of the gift, she made me a pearl necklace and pearl earrings (she had to change them last minute to the screw back ones because I don't have pierced ears). They really did complete the look, so I'm happy I dealt with the discomfort of the jewelry for the day (I always feel like necklaces are choking me, haha). I like this picture of my mom putting the necklace on because it took her so long to do it. You can tell she and I are just not jewelry people because we were having such issues!

The limo was outside, and we were all set to go! This was the final picture at my house as a Miss!!! Haha, you can also see my younger brother holding my veil.

When we arrived at the church, that's when I started getting nervous because there was a group of people waiting outside to see me come out of the limo! That's when it felt real. Like I said earlier, I was so ready to BE married, but I wasn't excited to GET married! We waited in a little room/house separate from the church building. This picture is typical of girls, haha. Doing last minute things while my dad just waits for us!

Silly picture of my trying to figure out what to do with the veil (in front of my shoulder or behind) and how I'd snootily flip it back.

Ok, deep breath, calm down. It's time to get married! One last dab of lip gloss, and I was ready to go!

I am with you on the make-up! My make-up person insisted on doing a " smoky eye". I thought it was too dark but it didn't look so bad in the pictures.

Great philosophy about the unity candle vs. sand ceremony--I never thought of that before. When we got married, we planned a unity candle, but tornadoes in the vicinity sort of cut our outdoor ceremony short, so needless to say, we cut out the unity candle and lit it on 1 year anniversary.

It's not terribly magical, pretty much social media based . I dated my fiance's brother when I was 18. We broke up after 6 months and I remained in contact with my now fiance (just random phone calls, saying Hi). We became friends when I was dating his brother. After a year or so since his brother and I had broken up, my now fiance asked me out. We went out on a few dates, but it was weird and we both felt guilty. We decided to remain friends.

We kept in random contact throughout the next 9-10 years. Some years just a handful of phonecalls. Two years ago he contacted me through Facebook and asked me out on a date (after asking his brother's permission this time [who's now married with a child]) and we've been inseparable ever since.

I'm planning on making a pommander as my bouquet and I search Etsy all the time for ideas! I think I can do what it is I have in my mind and I figure I have enough time that if I screw it up, I still have time to just buy the one off of Etsy . I love finding any and every way to save a dollar .

I know! It's crazy how life goes on and evolves in to such wonderful things .

I stopped watching the Office when Jim and Pam got married too. I tried to watch a few of the episodes after they had a kid, but it just wasn't as interesting to me anymore. And I'm not ashamed to admit, I shed a few tears during that wedding episode.

Ok, now I have to go back and read your recent update!

***Love the update!! Oh, and I totally eat toasted sesame bagels with avocado now because of you! I remember reading one of your TR's and thought it was a great combination. I went out and got a pack of sesame bagels and a bunch of avocadoes and it was sooooooo delicious!

Great idea about putting your vows on cardstock (especially in one of your wedding colors!). I have intentions on memorizing mine, but I know it'll never actually happen.

I can about imagine how awful the eyelashes must have felt....but they definitely looked fantastic. Your hair and makeup looked perfect...I especially love how she did the curls in your hair.

I also love the fact that you had your bridesmaid's wear different colored dresses. I've always loved that idea and think it really adds something, especially in pictures.
