We were all depressed when we got up. Everyone checked all around to make sure nothing was left behind.
We headed of to what would be our last sizzlers. BiGGy was wondering if the back axle was going to take the strain with all the cases and bags.
After, we headed off to Downtown Disney and the virgin check-in. We were one of the first ones there. As usual we had problems with the seats. We were travelling back in economy so we were even more depressed. Cases checked and boarding passes given, we went and had a look around the shops. There wasn't any open so BiGGy and the kids went to play with the lego. Mrs BiGGy couldn't help laughing as her husband became very competetive. He was going to biuld the fastest race car ever!
The market place had opened so we went into the big disney store. Mom did have her backpack with her after all. DD and mom bought themselves some jewellery and Mrs BiGGy sorted out the sweets for the kids to put in the school staffroom.
The kids had been promised a couple of hours in Disney Quest. BiGGy took them in - he had to clock that boxing game again of course. Mrs BiGGy and mom had a couple of relaxing hours by the lake.
We all met up outside the virgin megastore and popped into the HOB shop. Junior wanted to buy some plectrums to go with his hard rock drumsticks.
We were feeling peckish so we went to Wetzel's Pretzels. These were absolutely yummy. Especailly the chilli cheese dog.
It was time to head for the airport. BiGGy plugged in his other woman for the very last time this holiday.
Dollar were really quick taking the car back. They scanned the bar code on the windscreen. It told us how many miles we had done - 694.
We headed to the x-ray machine and the body scanner. This took a while as we had to take our jumpers and shoes off. We all wondered if the conveyor belt would take the strain of mom's backpack.
That done, we headed for duty free. Mom obviously had some hidden pockets in that backpack somewhere. Mrs BiGGy bought herself some posh DKNY perfume and her husband sorted out the wine and spirits to take home to family.
We waited about an hour by the gate before it was time to board. Our row was called and it was time to get to our seats. Mom and BiGGy picked up the duty free on the way.
We were sitting in economy and did we feel the difference. The seats felt so small! Mom was obviously dissappionted as there wouldn't be as many freebies this time.
We were given our supper and left to rest for the night' The captain informed everyone that they were having an electrical problem with the individual lights. Could the weight of mom's cavernous case be putting extra strain on the plane?
The flight went without a hitch and we got into Gatwick on time. Our cases came off the carousel quickly(maybe having something to do with the PE labels still being on) and it was time to go through customs.
At this point, mom didn't realise that the rest of us had slowed down, so that she would have to go first. If mom got through, anyone would get through. We all breathed a sigh of relief as she passed through without a hitch. DD's case had been opened by customs at orlando. They had left a note inside.
Safely through customs and passport check, BiGGy went to get the car.
Once we had loaded everything in the car, sardines in a can described the scene perfectly.
Here we were, back home and back to reality.
It had been a fantastic holiday. Mom's backpack had become legendary. BiGGy had exceeded his picture taking from last year - nearly three thousand this time. Mrs BiGGy and daughter had replaced half of their wardrobe and junior had two new skateboards and had been to skater heaven.
Would we do it all again?
HELL YEAH!
