MP3 Question

Okay all you MP3 experts. We want to get one for DS7 for Christmas. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive. So I found this one today. Can anyone tell me good, bad, or otherwise on it?

It looks like it's sold out there. Using regular batteries (2 AAA), it looks like you'll go through a lot of batteries.
