Hi,
I have a 1gb mp3 which i got online for about £25 quite a while ago(prices have dropped since - argos do a 1gb mp3 for £14.98) My mp3 holds about 500 songs so that would probably be plenty for your radio shows. Mine also runs on AAA batteries which do last quite a while - I took mine with us last year and I had it on pretty much all the way to Orlando and i didn't need to change the battery at all. Hope this helps. :)

I have an ipod video 80gb which has 60gb free and has 52 audio books on it. I will take my charger but it should last the flight easily.
