Moving to Seattle

If you were given the opportunity to move to Seattle Washington, would you? And if so, what part of Seattle would you want to live in?

depends... would you need to be near the city to work? Or just the area in general?

My favourite part of the area is up towards Snohomish, but its a bit of a commute ( well at least in my time frame lol ) if you need to go Seattle for work every day.

Lots of people commute from Issaquah on the East, Tacoma to the South ( if you go that far, look into Olympia IMHO) and even take the ferry from Bremerton ( Silverdale and Poulsbo would my choices over there)

I'd go in a heartbeat but then I was born and raised there I lived in Lynwood and Edmonds and really like those areas. I also lived in Snoqualmie which is quite a hike for a commute but a lot of people do it. It has a nice small town feel to it.

I love it here!

I live in Redmond and it is a perfect location and close to everything.

We are soon moving to Bothell though, so we will be a little further out.

As for Seattle, Seattle, I like Wallingford, Ballard and the U-district the best for living in, but I'm not a real city person. I'd rather live in the 'burbs.

I might, if DH could tolerate the climate(he has lung disease). My sister actually had this choice about 7yrs ago and took it. She & her DH moved from D.C to Poulsbo, which is on the Olympic Peninsula across the sound from Seattle. Her DH works at home and in Seattle. Sister says she will never leave--she absolutely loves it. So DH & I are trying to plan a trip out there to see her and get a feel for the place.

Of course, it is on the other side of the world
