Moving to Florida

Hey all,
I am moving to Florida to work at Disney. I am trying to get a feel for where I and two friends can live. We want to be close to work. Can anyone tell me the best places that are fairly inexpensive to live, and the places to avoid completely? We live in Utah so we are coming into this blind.

I am going to move this to the Community Board. We have many members that live in that area. You might also do a search on our boards, this question comes up often.

I am getting close to retiring and have been making plans to do the same thing. I have a law Enforcement background and hope to get on part time with security at Disney. The local paper has an online paper that you can see the want adds for renting.
As far as I can tell they have plenty of apartments in the area the area is kind of designed for people to live and work in the area so you should have no problem but if you would like some more direction send me a private msg and I will send you the links I have found.

Do you already have a job at Disney? Are you aware that Disney only pays about $8 an hour? Living in FL can be expensive as well, with apartment rentals coming in around $700-$1100 depending on where you go..

I recommend DO NOT come into this blind. I made that mistake 11yrs ago, and took me 4 years to find a place I liked living.
